Default My Wedding Plans So Far...

5:30pm--Ceremony and Cocktails/ Light Hor Dourves at Limetree Beach
6:00pm--Family Photos, Then just photos of Chris and I at sunset along the beach
7:30pm--Reception "begins"

For the reception, I was looking at Oceana Restaurant or maybe Havana Blue. The food at Oceana looks more our style... but we'll see. Any thoughts or suggestions?
We are booking Blue Grass Photography for 3 hours at the moment. I really think we are going to end up adding 2 more hours, but I have to see how the rest of my budget goes first. I have my Dad on me about that since he is paying...

coquetayloca,
How nice that you've chosen Limetree Beach. I've seen many weddings there. Most weddings I've seen have been in the grassy area right by the restaurant. I don't want mine there. I want to be at the other end of the beach, near the rocky end of the bay. If you want to send me a pm with your e-mail info, I'll scrounge around for some pictures of the beach for you, or send you to some sites with pictures.

Coquetayloca,
Your plans sound very nice! Both restaurants are great options! Havana Blue will have a slightly better view as you can see the water. I have not dined there, but I always here good things. I also hear that the food is on the spicy side. Oceana is sea side as well, but dark, can't see a lot. I have dined there and it is a wonderful place and good food!

Petunia,
You are right on! The further side of Limetree, by the rocks is far more picturesque! A very lovely spot!

Well change of plans... I have started to look into Mexico. That was originally my first choice. I have family in Bolivia I would love to attend my wedding, but they cannot get a visa to get to the US. They can go to Mexico though. So it would be nice to have my grandfather and other cousins there. I am not canceling anything with St Thomas yet, but I am looking at other options.

coquetayloca,
I certainly can understand your reasoning for having to change your wedding location to Mexico.
I hope you don't loose any would be deposits if you've made any.
I have a friend who lives here from Bolivia, I am surprized they can't get into STT for a visit? It seems to me that they should be able to. Maybe it is because they limit the amount of visa's that come in, I wonder......
Best of Luck to you regardless and keep us posted! I know I would want my family to come for sure!

I only put down a deposit of $100 down for my WC. I don't mind losing that. Janelle has been incredible and has given so much of her time to me. I'm not sure if it's easier to get the the US Virgin Islands than to go to mainland USA, but I know my cousins have been trying to come to the states and have been turned down for visas.
