Our was Wedding cake and Jamican Smiles...mmmmmm. Ours friends are having a 4th of July party tomorrow and they are making Jamaican Smiles. They went as far as renting a machine that will make the premade Pina Coloda and Daquaris in the maching like in the bar. It is awsome! Then we will just add the Rum cream (and when that runs out Irish wiskey will work!) It will bring back some awsome memories!

I'm so grateful I have found this website! I've been going through most of the threads, and I have found some helpful tips and advice that I didn't even think about. Like, I didn't know we were going to need music, for the signing of the registry, and for totally forgot about the recessional. I was just focused on the processional. So thanks ladies!

I see that most people are getting married (or have been married) at Ochos Rios or Negril. We're getting married at Whitehouse in just 5 weeks! So I hope they are as good at Whitehouse as they are at OR and Negril.

I read that you can bring your own flutes, cake toppers, etc., but we're getting the Twilight package and it's supposed to come with toasting flutes. Has anyone seen what these flutes look like? Should be our own? I mean we bought some for our reception that we're going to have when we get back to LV, but I really don't want to travel to Jamaica with them.

Last question, did most of you use recorded music, or did you use the live musicians whether it was for your ceremony and/or reception?

We had a live musician for the processional; however, it was my brother who is an awesome trumpet player, so it was free! Otherwise we used recorded music.

My cake looked exactly like HollisandSteph's except it was chocolate. It was good, but I think I would have preferred vanilla.

I loved my hair! It stayed all day and evening even though it was a very windy day. I found it well worth the money! Infact, I am having my hair done again this weekend for my AHR since it made me feel so good.
I did not have my make-up done but I had gone to Macy's and got tip from them. I bought some of the make up there and then went to CVS and bought simular (and cheeper...hehe) colors. My Friend had her make-up done though and it was really really nice. I have herd other brides say they use too much eye liner though.

I had my hair and make-up done at the resort and I LOVED my hair, and ended up loving my make-up once I toned down the lipstick and eyeliner back in my room. I'd recommend getting hair and make-up done there - just ask them to go light on the eyeliner - especially if you don't usually wear any! Also, allow plenty of time. It took me 2.5 hours to get my hair and make-up done.

It took me just over 2 hours too. We thought we had plently of time and were gonna go get something to eat but changed our mind and thankfully we did cause when we got back to my friends room we only had like 45 minutes to finish getting ready. We made it but had we went for lunch I would have been late for my own wedding...lol

Well, wish me luck ladies. I am off to my AHR weekend. I have 0 controll of cause my mom, who is normally anything but controlling, took it over...lol The only thing I am allowed to do is buy the alcohol and show up.....uuuggggghhhhh........lol I will post pics on monday!

Well for whatever reason eyeliner does not look good on my eyes at all. Even professionals that have done my makeup end up wiping it off if they try it. Maybe b/c my eyes are so dark or something I dunno. But, I'm glad ya'll liked yours. It does look awesome in the pics and hair perfectly in place! I'll just tell them not to put any eyeliner on me anyway and probably bring my own gloss.

Steph, have a great time at your reception!!! You get to have one more of "your day"!!! :)

Well, I had my AHR yesterday and it was exausting! I am not sure how (or why..lol) people actually have large weddings and receptions all in one day. All I wanted to do when it was over was go home and go to bed. It was a crazy whirlwind of thanking people for coming and hugging relatives that I have not seen in years...LOL I honestly felt like I had deserted my husband and it was supposed to be "our" recpetion. We did have a nice first dance where he said a bunch of nice things to me.:-) Overall it was a great night but I am glad it is all over. Now I can concentrate on just being his wife!!
