FI and I have booked thetwilight package and we would love to have our ceremony on the beach. I feel much better hearing that the beach starts to clear out around 3pm. We are getting married at 5pm.
How long did your ceremony last?
Did you both book a butler with your package? If so, was the additional cost worth it?
Did you have any problems getting reservations or tables in some of the more popukar restaurants?
Thanks in advance... | Ooooh, I love the idea of a twilight wedding! I think that's a good choice!
Our ceremony was about 15 - 20 min long, which I think is pretty standard.
We did not book a butler, but did stay in a Concierge level room, which was terrific. We actually were glad that we didn't spend $$$ for a butler because the Concierge service was so great. Pretty much anything you want to do they can help you make arrangements for, or at least make suggestions. They also put out a Continental Breakfast in the morning and tea sandwiches and cakes in the afternoon. I liked that bc sometimes you just need a quick bite and don't want to wander far from your room.
We discovered that you should either eat early (5:30 pm) or late (8 pm) bc the wait at some restaurants gets to be almost 45 min - 1 hr around 7ish. The one night we did have to wait, we didn't have to wait even half the time they said it would be, and there's always a bar nearby and a great view to soak in, so it's not a big deal.

Amanda-
I wanted to tell you, I grabbed my friends memory card and had some of her pics developed. Guess who was in the background of one- you! Actually it was you and your family setting in the Rivera lounge either before or after you wedding! I'll get it downloaded and post it.:-)

Random question- Do they provide adequate amounts of shampoo, conditioner etc.? I don't want to over pack our bags! I've heard it's very easy to go over the new 50 lb. limit.
Also, I just booked my hair appt. and Darma told me they'll schedule the time when we get there. Is that what you guys did too?
Thanks again!

Thanks Tara!
I had such a wonderful week and there still has not been a day that I have not thought about it atleast 100 times a day! LOL I almost get sad when I get on this forum cause my planning is over. It was so relaxing and wonderful! I am thrilled to have married my husband but I want to do it all over again! Realistically it will be along time before we will be able to go back:-( The next two years we have plans to take the kids out west and then the next year on a cruise and then if things go well we are going to take another Sandals vaction alone!! Whoohooo!!LOL
Dedra-
It is a 4 oz bottle. You get alittle carring case with shampoo, conditioner, lotion and aloe. I used a combination of mine and the provided shampoo so I still had some left. My friend did run out of hers while we were there and asked for more but they told her she would have to buy it at the Red Lane Spa.
I worried about the weight of my suitcase too and so I put it on my scale at home so I had an idea of what it weighed. I was surpised to see it only weighed like 30 pounds. I was there 7 days and had plenty! Make sure you allow enough weight to bring things home (like rum cream...lol)! I also had put my dress in a garment bag and there was enough room to put some other things in it so I put all mine and my husbands wedding stuff in it and used it as a carry on to save weight in the checked bags.. When got to the resort I took it out and hung it up with the doors to our room open. What little wrinkles I had come out. Just an FYI.
I did have my hair done. Karry-Ann, our onsite wedding planner, made the appointments while we were meeting with her. Having my hair done took a full 2 hours so you might want to count on that. We were gonna eat between having our hair done and wedding and did not have time. It was ok though.

Thanks hollisandsteph.
I'm really hoping that I will be able to hang my dress on the plane. I've heard that some people were lucky and the attendants hung it in a closet or the captains area. I'm scared it will get really wrinkly otherwise! Does anyone know if I could still bring a carry on along with the dress hanging in one of those tall garment protectors? The rule is a carry on and one personal item. But I think the personal item is more like a purse or laptop. Any one know or have experience with this?

We flew Air Jamaica and as soon as the flight attendant saw me with my dress she told me I could hang it on the hooks in the rear of First Class. This was great considering our seats were in Coach. IMO, I think you'd be fine bringing a carry-in plus your dress. I only had my dress and my beach bag, which doubled as my purse for the trip.
