Holy moly! That's terrible news so close to your wedding. It's fortunate that are being so accommodating to the situation. As horrible as it is for you individually, I can only imagine what all the employees are going through. That's just an awful situation.

I'm glad that everything is working out for you, though. See, it's because you had the decency to be compassionate to the people living and working there before yourself. Everything happens for a reason and it seems that you have some good karma.

Hey Ckitagawa - we actually knew about Hotel Molokai but never considered it an option. Even renovated, it is not the level of luxury we were looking for for our guests and wedding events. I have heard the food there is yummy especially since the new chef (one of the past contestants from Top Chef came on) but thanks for the post.

Thanks Tara! everything has worked out so much better - we are having an even better event and our guests are super, duper excited to go to Kona. I completely agree that everything happens for a reason :)
