You cannot compare the Ritz with the Mariott. The Ritz by far has the more beautiful property, location, services etc. If you are thinking about the Ritz, I would suggest booking your dates ASAP as they always have limited availability since they cater to corporate events. I have met the wedding planners and they are warm and professional at the Ritz. Food Luck to you in your journey towards planning the DW of your dreams.

My biggest fear is that my wedding at the Ritz is going to cost a fortune especially with a welcome dinner etc as well. I was thinking to do the welcome dinner at an alternate location and not at the ritz since they charge additional for every little thing there. They actually gave me wonderful rates for November so I am considering it. My fiance and I are just lost right now because we know we can save a ton of money on an all inclusive such as in Riviera Maya; but the convenience of no passports and short flights with no time difference is a big plus with St Thomas. I am confused!!!!

I priced out the Ritz in Cancun and the price was astronomical. I would proceed with caution with them lol I'm sure St. Thomas would be even more expensive.

Have you considered a villa vacation experience in St Thomas?

I don't think a villa will work for my guests. I would rather just have everything for the wedding in one place. I am open to having a luau on the beach somewhere near the hotel (but not at the hotel) since the prices are thru the roooff!!!!!

the room rates surprisingly were like 259 a night but this is for november....i hope i dont get blown away with bad weather!!!
