Hairdresser & Makeup Artist

My WC booked a hairdresser for me and my 2 BM's but I'm not sure who it is..

We are also planning on doing our own makeup.. and I was going to go to MAC as well for a trial so I know what I'm doing! Haha

BB5, I've booked Dan Sanchez, and now I'm just waiting to hear back from Jessica Waite. I'm hoping that since Dan was available, Jessica might be too. I get the impression that she has other makeup artists who work with her though? Hopefully even if she's not available herself, at least one of them might be. Thank you so much BB5! I really appreciate your posting their names for me. You are one of my favourite people in the world right now!

Sherrie...Don't mention it! I know how it feels to discover info from another bride and be very grateful...So glad that you got Dan...did you talk to him...isn't he great!!!! Very kind...Oh for your info, he is not gay! He used to be a pro football player....I learned that from a fellow bride, she loved him so much that she wanted too set him up with her home town hairdresser, assuming they are all gay...hahah.
Jessica works with Dan all the time, so if you booked him, she's more than likely available! So DOESN'T answer you right away...but I think she writes the date down and then gets back to you later..

I see that we are a couple of weeks apart in our wedding dates....What do you have left to do
I have flowers, cake and videographer...oh and a rental car....So I better get a move on!

Thanks for the tip about Dan! I have to admit, I probably would have assumed, so good to know! He IS so great! I loved him right away.

I did end up getting Jessica too. You're right about her not answering right away. Just when I was starting to sweat, I heard back from her, and I was so relieved!

At this point, I think what I have left is flowers, cake and rental car. We booked our videographer a little while ago. We're having Hawaii Video Memories, and they seem pretty good. I was pretty impressed with the sample videos on their website. Their site is Maui Wedding Videos by Hawaii Video Memories if you want to check them out. As for flowers, I'm thinking white plumeria for me and pink plumeria for the BM's, but I'm not 100% yet. Since we have to use Maui Wedding Cakes for our cake at the Seawatch, that kind of made life easier. I still have no idea what cake to choose though. I guess I'd better get thinking about that...

Thanks for the web address to HVM.. I actually received their DVD in the mail....it is incredible! (I'm on dial up so watching a video on the web is PAINFUL!!!)
To update you, I booked my rental car...what a fee-ask-o....spell...hahahha
I went through Costco finally and received a very, very good deal! ( on a full size...going all out baby!!!)hahahah

I've left a few requests for price quotes on the flowers, so hopefully I will hear something good soon, as good, I mean, CHEAP...ya right, this is Maui!

Anyway, it really is starting to get close isn't it.... Up to this point I've been feeling very organized...now, I'm not so sure...weird, huh...I know one thing for sure, I would love to have more money!!! My budget is going out the window...

I was feeling really organized for a while there, and now I feel like we're starting to get behind. We really need to get our invitations out. We're only inviting 30, so it was really easy to let them all know right away, so we didn't even bother with STD's. We're just going to send the invitations really early, and I've decided that I don't care if it's an etiquette taboo. We're making our own rules here. We need to get the invitations out though, because I don't think people really get their butts in gear about booking stuff until they have a real invitation or STD in their hands. Or maybe our guests are just disorganized!

We haven't booked our rental car yet, so we'd better get on that too. Maybe I'll make that my task for the day! That, and getting over to the printers with the invitations. We have got to get off our duffs about that!

PS - I know what you mean about the Hawaii Video Memories. I got their DVD too, and it's so amazing. For a while there, I was practically addicted to it. I think my FI ready to kill me if I watched another one of those videos!!

Hey BB5, my wedding coordinator is handling the flowers, so I'm not sure. I don't even know who they use yet. I'll let you know when I find out who they're using though. I hope you hear back from someone soon!
