Default My Get-Ready-To-Go brochure (Riveria Maya)

Hi all,

Just hoping you could look this over and let me know whether the info looks right and/or whether we've forgotten anything! I think we've been staring at it for so long that we've lost all perspective. =)

Any input much appreciated!!

It looks great! That reminds me I needed to get some eco friendly sunscreen. I wanted to buy some for everyone, but it was pricey. Now the snorkeling trip will be in a cenote so I don't think we'd need to worry about it. It that right? It's just about coral isn't it?

Our guests are only staying 3nights so I don't think anyone else will have time to snorkel in the ocean. I'll get a bottle for us & another to share incase someone is snorkeling.

Thanks for the feedback!

I wanted to get eco-friendly sunscreen for everyone too, but was having the same affordability issues. I was considering buying a box of individual packets through smartshield.com and just placing a couple in each OOT bag in order to make sure they have at least one or two applications.

As for cenotes versus ocean snorkeling, that's a good question. Cenotes are part of a vast underground network of rivers, and all that freshwater does run straight to the ocean so all the chemicals travel. But the nice thing about cenotes is that they're often quite shady, so sunscreen might not be as necessary. In fact, I've often used (and recommended) just an extra-large t-shirt to cover backs and shoulders--the areas most exposed when snorkeling.

Funny that your guests might not do any ocean swimming. That's always the first thing I do when I get to a seaside hotel: drop all luggage, throw on swimsuit, and walk-almost-run to the water. =)

I think the brochure looks great. Did you mean hike to the post office in the passport paragraph?

they will definitly swim in the ocean. I guess I thought the sunscreen was just for snorkeling because you were getting closer to the coral. I've never read to use it when you just get in the ocean. I guess I will need to look some stuff up.

the cenotes will be right after the coba trip so we'll definitly be wearing sunscreen all day.

LOL. Good question, but we were actually going Shakespearean. (That'll teach us!)

From dictionary.com:
verb (used without object)
1. to hasten; speed; go in haste.
–verb (used with object)
2. to hasten (oneself): Hie yourself down to this once-in-a-lifetime sale!

Aw, thanks! If you ever decide you'd like a working version (it's currently in Microsoft Publisher) with all the different layers, etc., just PM me!
