No way! She'll love it, how exciting!

Christine and Natasha you guys both got engaged in the Valley of Fire? Too cool! Christine I remember your pics but for some reason I thought it was Joshua Tree. They told us you can camp there. Were you guys camping or just day tripping? I'd never heard of it either until this wedding but what a cool place to visit!

Her dress didn't get too dirty, just slightly red at the bottom. She had a bustle (sp?) but even with that the train hit the ground, so the photogprapher suggested she tie it up for the ceremony so it was clean for her pictures. I was going to get a rubber band out of my purse..lol..but her FIL grabbed it, and tied the whole thing in a knot because it was so long. And it actually looked decent so we left it for the ceremony since she was facing forward anyway!

I did carry it when we walked down though, but my wedding dress got more dirty at the beach!

Sweet.. I know dry sand doesn't really leave a mark but wasn't sure about the red dirt.. I bet all her photos turned out really pretty with the sunset and all. Thanks for the review. I sent the info to my girlfriend who's looking to get married next year but I don't believe you can have a very big guest list.

No, I don't believe you can either. There are a few companies that do weddings there so she may find one able to accomodate a large group.

Just got these...here are some pics of the terrain going/coming from the ceremony site to the parking lot. As you see it's difficult in heeled shoes but it's worth the small hike!

Jamy I am so impressed you are so on top of things that you are giving reviews for other people's wedding's and I haven't even written a review of my own yet, lol. Too bad you weren't at my wedding you could have written it for me:)

Haha...thanks Kelly. I also have lots of free time at work and no kids to divide my attention...unless you count my little pooch! I'd love to read your review if ever you have the time :o)

Jamy, thank you so much for that review. It was nice to see the photos before and as you get there. We are staying at Nellis Air Force Base so we are already half way there I am told. I work for the Cdn Forces and my groom is American Forces in Utah. I am so looking forward to this wedding out there. It will be something different that is for sure. We are a 8 Aug 08 date so the heat will be incredible. We have our ceremony at 10:00am so we are hoping it won't be so bad. I booked with Classic Vegas Weddings and they had told me about bringing a better shoe to walk in for the photos. They also had a monthy contest and I just won an etxra 20 photos with my package. I am also curious about what he train on the dress looked like after being in the dirt of the red rock I can't wait to see the other review on this place.

You're welcome! Her train wasn't that dirty at all, just a little discoloration at the very bottom. She was careful and tied it up most of the time )per the photographer) so it would be clean for pictures.

It will be hot when you're there but 10 am is a good time. Congrats on winning that contest and happy planning!

How fun, we were there last month too. Never heard of it before then. I wonder if it was the same officiant because the one from the wedding we photographed (just made a new post w/ link to pix) said he had to leave for a helicopter wedding too! It was sad because the limo bringing part of the wedding party was late so they had to start the wedding without them since the officiant had to leave soon! That place gets scary at night too, we were in a double decker bus and the bus got lost in the Valley, took us about an hour out of the way in the middle of nowhere!

Sounds & looks like your friend had a great wedding!
