Favorite Wii Games

I know ... this has probably been discussed before (naughty moderator!), but when you search for "Wii" it says it too short to search. So I can't find the other threads!

Paul and I bought a Wii last weekend ... we went to Target to register for baby stuff, and ended up with a Wii. Oops. All we have so far is the Wii Sports that comes with it - and it's actually quite fun! We've also played Guitar Hero, and will likely end up buying that as well.

What are some more of your favorite games? I've heard of the Carnival Games (or something) where they have Skee-Ball and stuff like that.

What are your favortite games?

(or if anyone knows where the other thread(s) is, we can merge these!)

Guitar Hero! It's so much fun!!! We were looking after our friends' kids a few weeks ago and they had just bought the Wii and Guitar Hero. Alex and I were playing it, and all I heard since that was nonstop talk about getting it... so I caved. I'm not a big 'gamer' but Guitar Hero is loads of fun!

Opps... got too excited and didn't read your whole message where you mentioned Guitar Hero... but, yes, loads of fun. There's also Dance Revolution or something like that, which was fun. It's nice b/c you're up and moving and getting a bit of exercise.

Yep - I've played Guitar Hero a ton, and I do like that one. It's great when you have a group of people over ... we played that all night on New Years Eve (a friend brought his Wii over).

Gretchen - call your local Target and ask when they're getting a shipment, they should be able to tell you. Then just show up first thing in the morning!

I have a wii and a xbox 360. We have guitar hero II and III on the 360 and is a blast. I have recently played endless ocean which is actually very fun if you like the ocean and swimming around the sea and finding fish. Very fun, i spend hours on end with that game. I am also a big fan of smash bros. brawl. I just finished the main story line and unlock several characters. I have been a fan of the smash bros. games. If you dont know anything about them, they are basicly a 4 player fighting type game however the characters are classic nintendo characters. Also, coming out next month which I am very excited about is mario kart. Did you have a game cube before? Mario on the game cube was a blast. My sister and I used to take the game cube to friends and play mario kart, smash bros., and mario party. We basicly have all the mario parties. We are addicted what can I say. The newest mario party for the wii is also a very good game. Well, I hope that helps. Those are my best games anyway. Have fun.

We also searched EVERYWHERE - don't give up. We finally found one completely randomly the other week at a Blockbuster that is sort of out of the way. Totally flipped out when we realized they had them in stock!!!

The problem is that they are actually having difficulty manufacturing the systems. I forget exactly what the deal is but our neighbor works for them and explained that's why stores on only get 8 or so in a shipment. If you live in a big city, they can be really hard to find! I had been looking for one since November - 5 months and finally found one! YIPPEE!!!! Or should I say Wiiiiiii!!! wink.gif

It was funny, we actually saw one at Walmart in Mexico when we were there doing our site visit in December but it was really expensive so we had to pass on it.

Anyways, back to games. We also only have the Sports Pack right now, although we do have Guitar Hero for Playstation. The Carnival Game sounds like fun - I love Skee Ball! Our neighbors have about 10 different games. We're supposed to go over and play Mario Smash sometime soon - it sounds like fun.

I like the Mario and Sonic Olympic games too. I am also a fan of Mario Party, kind of a kiddie game, but its based on a board game set up where you roll the dice and then play mini games against other players...its a great 4 person game.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
