So, guess i won't be part of the journal... its a very cool idea though | Do you want to be a part of it? Because I bet if someone else who is getting married has the initial J they would love to use it!! Just a thought!!
Also, my starfish will be available after my wedding April 10th - So if there are any May and beyond brides out there that want one feel free to PM me! It is silver and oh so sparkly!

great idea mods! i think the best idea is that each person is responsible for getting/sending her own starfish...what a pita for you to worry about whose fish is going where...!
i'd write something to post to the blog, but i'm not the most sentimental person...to me, the starfish was more about having something borrowed than writing about the starfish's journey (sorry carly!)

I'm not sentimental usually, but I really like the idea of sharing a starfish. I probably wouldn't even have something borrowed, etc if it wasn't the starfish. I tend to not care for tradition.
So after much thought (a minute), I realized what I like about it. I like seeing the starfish in pictures & feeling a sort of unity between us. Because, really we are in this all together. So the starfish to me is representing BDW as a Xth bridesmaid. Like how sports have the 12th man. If you have 4 BMs, BDW can be the 5th. I get more wedding support here than anywhere else.
I shouldn't give away my best material for my journal entry.
As the wedding approaches I find myself becoming more & more sentimental. It's a little weird. I didn't even like weddings before planning mine. That's how much I've changed :)

This is such a fun and neat idea. I just ordered my starfish....yay! I am new to the forum so am not familiar with the previous starfish stuff, but this is really cool. I ordered the turquoise colored starfish since that's going to be my color theme. The free shipping is what got me too, very nifty as well. Thanks mods!

Awwww, I really like this idea. I was thinking about a starfish for feb 09 but I'm still not sure what colour bouquet I will have...White bouquet=blue starfish, green bouquet=white/clear starfish.
Decisions!

a few of the entries are not sentimental at all but just that, how much BDW helped them and how much they love the girls. Others talked about their experience at a wedding and how happy they were to be married. I think you should still write an entry.

Non taken, Lauren! I am not really sentimental either, but I think it's cool to have something that we all kinda share. Even if there are 500 starfish out there, the theme is still united, and I just htink it's cool. That is probably what I would write. Or maybe just my name and date and location of wedidng. Hahahahaa, yeah, that's probably more like something that I would write... Quote:

Starfish regenerate right? I'm sure that can be a metaphore for something.
