Posting Photos-please look here!

We here at BDW are self proclaimed picture *whores* and that being said, we have high expectations that your engagement ring, wedding dress, and other wedding items will be posted for our viewing pleasure before your wedding and that immediately (well as soon as you can) upon your return from your wedding you post some photos of the wedding, TTD shoot and any other wedding activities.
That being said, it is a huge strain on our server resources (and steals points away from the other members) when you attach the photos in the forum through the paperclip icon

Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket to host the photos and post them here. To do that you simply need the img code it looks like a URL (website address) with [IMG] in front of it and [/IMG] at the end of it.
Sites like photo bucket also let you resize and do some minor editing of your photos. They have recently upgraded their free accounts to include subfolders, a great way for you to organize your wedding idea photos.

To insert photos from the web that don't already have the img code around them, use the little mountain icon on the toolbar above the message area. For those of you who know computer lingo this is a wysiwyg (pronounced whiziwhig-what you see is what you get) and basically looks like a MS Word document.

Is there a way to take down photos that you've accidentally (and unknowingly) posted this way in order to undo the damage and make points come back? Or will it not make a difference now?

I think I can figure out the photobucket thing....I'm going to give it a test run on a photo a little later just to make sure.

Thank you Christine! I appreciate it! I'm going to try a "testing" post in the "Siggy help & testing" forum to make sure I've got the photobucket/IMG concept but I'm pretty sure I do. It's really user friendly!
