Info From a Local

Recommended Posts

Hello all! I am local here in Vegas and I have lived here most of my life. I will try to post here more often to help you all out with questions!

Also, a good friend of mine maintains a website that is basically and independent review of most of the chapels in Vegas. She has visited them all and collected the info and taken pictures etc. It is really a great idea and would be helpful to anyone looking at chapels in Vegas.

Las Vegas Wedding Chapel Reviews, Pictures, Packages, Marriage License Laws, Elvis

I hope this helps some of you. Any questions...just ask!

Jamy, if you want to go to a club in a casino there is an Irish bar in New York New York and a few others in the main casinos. Let me think about which ones are fun.

There will be all sorts of stuff going on on the strip so I am sure you will find something to do no problem.

Have fun!

Twixygirl, I used to live in Vegas too, I am a Nevadan, from Sparks originally.

Hey Ladies..I too am a local Vegas bride... although I am local, I am having a destination wedding.. 80% of my guests are from all points of the country!!

Planning is fun, especially with my budget.. lol My wedding is at Alexis Park Resort as I wanted something close to the strip without the casino atmosphere. I have managed to plan a wedding weekend.. including all my attire, rehersal and welcome dinner, and ceremony, cocktail hour, and sit down dinner/dance..all for under $7,500...

I have done a ton of research and have some great deals... anyone that needs any suggestions or ideas.. I would be also happy to help..

2 months to go!!!

That's great! I acutally came across this website in the beginning stages of my planning and it was the website that helped me decide on the Wynn! Thank you!

Hi,

Instead of a "rehersal dinner", we are having a catered dinner in our home. All of our guests are staying at the resort and most of them we haven't seen in awhile, haven't visited us or Vegas before, or haven't been outside of the strip.

All of our celebrations.. shower, ceremony, etc is planned for the resort so we decided to do a meet and greet for our OOT friends and family in our home. So they can relax and we will be able to really visit with them.

There are several places that we considered for a rehersal that I am very familiar with close to the strip and reasonably priced...

Landrys Seafood House

The Tillerman

Gordon Biersch

LOL.. now that I think about it.. 60 people in my home.. PHEW.. better get to cleaning...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
