karma: 0 | Price estimates for Dreams?
I am looking into having my wedding at Dreams and was just wondering if anyone could share and estimate per person to stay 4 nights. Of course we have to plan our wedding during high season next February. Oh well, it's what works best. Anyway, I'm not sure what amount is too much to ask my guests to spend. We would be leaving from Philadelphia. Any other good suggestions for Punta Cana. Dreams is the one I have the most information on but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

If you do a search on any of the travel search engines such as Travelocity, etc. or the Dreams site itself, You can easily get an approximate estimate. I agree that talking to a TA is probally the best way to start. Also use the search feature on this forum for info about Punta Cana Resorts and weddings.

The rates that I got from my travel agent are as follows. Of course I will be going in Nov. 2 - Nov. 12th
4 nights- $975
5 nights - $1079
7 nights - $1262
10 nights -$1500
Of course this is only an estimate because the prices change with the time of travel and also the room category. All the prices I listed are for the standard rooms.
Hope this helped

good luck :) | That's my vote. My TA is a family friend but she suggest resorts sometimes that I have already ruled out...from reading this forum and tripadvisor .
I have been given a charter flight price of 1128per person for a dbl. std room. and 1471 for a delux in May 2008 from Chgo. Having a TA means your guest have someone else to call to figure out there accomodations and sure some (like one of my good friends) will find a way to beat the TA's price with e-fares or use miles but check with a destination wedding TA for sure. They can lock in prices for you or at the very least give you an estimated price of the cost for your guest a year from now. I think?
