I'm planning on getting married in July 2010 so I still have some time to decide on a resort but so far my top choices are: Paradisus Palma Real or the Punta Cana resort, Dreams Punta Cana and now Eden H--any info you girls share will help me with my final decision!! Thanks!

Just keep in mind that the wedding packages for 2010 will most likely increase

Hey ladies! How's the planning coming along? I emailed Grisele a few more questions, so I thought I'd share some of her responses with everyone.

Let me 1st start off by saying the 1st ? I asked her was about the price per chair. You can breathe a sigh of relief. It is NOT $25 per chair. The set up includes the white covers (included in the packages). The extra decoration refers to floral applications or additional decoration for each chair. So thats great news!
If you want the tiki torches, it IS $30 per torch, which includes decorations of the torches

The wedding gazebo has been pushed to a 2009 project, boo
I asked about hosting a cocktail hour in the Tanthra Bar, her response : The Tanhtra bar is only available before 6:00 PM for private events and yes, it does has an additional cost.
Note that the 30 minute Video for $350 is just for the ceremony. The reception price is quoted separately
As far as wedding cakes, the traditional package and lower (if applicable) includes a 1 layer cake, anything above that, the cake will have 2 layers. If you want a larger cake, it is an additional $5 per person.
And I confirmed that there will be some type of certificate signed during the symbolic ceremony

Hi Girls, I was just wondering, is the symbolic ceremony for those who gets the legal documentation done before they go to the DR? Has anyone seen the pictures from the wedding in February? Also, does anyone know anything about beach receptions? I am having a hard time communicating with the WC.

I leave for Edenh in a little over two weeks and am the maid of honor for my sisters wedding. She is being married on May 13 th. So I will let you all know how it goes and post some pictures upon my return.

Yes, with the symbolic ceremony, you are not legally married in the DR. You can get legally married before our after having a symbolic ceremony. I think majority of the people do it before.

Havent seen pics from the wedding in Feb. The coordinator that promised me those pictures is no longer there. So I am re-requesting to see any available.

As far as beach reception, I sent the coordinator an email regarding this last week. I am waiting to hear back from her. I do however have the private plated dinner and buffett menu/pricing.

As soon as I hear something, I will let you guys know!
