Excellence Resorts Info.

I am planning on getting married in the beginning of 2009 and we are going to do a site visit this June. I really liked the Excellence Resort, but I have noticed that not alot of people have considored this resort. I am starting to second guess it! If anyone has any information they could share about ERC resorts I would greatly appreciate it. Finding a resort is sooooo hard!

I love the Excellence resorts too but will have my wedding in Punta Cana becuase I love the beach there.

My guess that not a lot of people are using it because a) it is an adult only resort and b) it is a little more expensive than the resorts.

Don't know about Riviera Maya but the brides who married at Excellence Punta Cana had only great things to say about their wedding, great experience all around, not to mention that Excellence is #1 resort in Punta Cana and has voted one of the romantic resort in the caribbean.

The new Excellence Playa Mujeres just opened this past November and is supposed to be wonderful. There are several reviews and lots of pictures on Trip Advisor. We would get married there, but it's adults only and my nephews are coming. We are going there for our honeymoon, though.

I am definitely considering Excellence as well, although it sounds like they have several weddings per day, so you may be one of several brides getting married that day.

I think somebody mentioned that they got a "wedding factory" feel from Excellence on their site visit...

Does anyone know if the Excellence Punta Cana gives the symbolic ceremony in English? I thought I read somewhere that they only do Spanish...?

My son honeymooned at the Excellence Riviera Cancun and they LOVED it. They were pampered and treated like royalty. If they had to do it over, they would go there again in a heartbeat. It's more expensive than alot of the other resorts, but it's really, really nice. I'm sure the Punta Cana one is fairly comparable.

It looks awesome
and I tried to switch, but it will cost my guests $200 more ... so cest la vie.
but I would go there HANDS DOWN, weddings look great, won tons of awards this past year, and gets great reviews.

I'm also considering the Excellence Riviera Cancun. Are you sure they allow multiple weddings a day?

I am not sure how many weddings they hold a day. I am going this June for a site visit so I will get all the details. I know that there will be a wedding going on while I am there. I will give you all the details when I come back. Let me know if you have any other questions and I will try my best to get some answers. This is the only resort that I have really, really liked. All of its reviews on trip advisor are very consistant. Plus I have had several friends go here and absolutely love it.
