Help with photographers, please!

After reading several reviews/comments on the photographer at El Dorado Royale, we have decided to go with a local, outside photographer. Now, I have too many choices, and need some help choosing! Has anyone used any of these photographers?

Jorge Baltazar
Cancun Studios
Lidya Solemidt

These are the photographers who so far have said that they're available for my date. Unfortunately, Matt and Sol are out of my price range, and Elizabeth is not available.

Are there ones that I am missing that I just have to check out? I would appreciate any insight.

Have you tried searching the forum - there is so much information on photogs out there, both on the ones you're looking at, as well as others.

I have spent hours searching. This forum is so overwhelming, and some of the info is a little outdated. Rather than spend my entire week searching for each one, I thought I'd try a post to see if anyone else could help me out with info, or maybe point me to the threads I've missed.

I've read the review on Vanessa, and saw there was a post from Cancun studios. Most of what I've found is on Matt and Elizabeth. I haven't yet heard back from Claudia as to whether she is available.

We used Vanessa and we so so happy with her. Her work is awesome and she is a wonderful person as well.

If Claudia is not available, you can hire Erick or Citalli. Both do amazing work.

SusanK posted her pictures from Citalli. I'll see if I can find them.

yes it can be overwhelming at times, but I am not sure what you mean by outdated, since the majority of reviews are from just last year. I think you would be happy with any of your choices as I have heard good things about all of those people.
Also you could always PM the people who reviewed those particular photogs and get more specific info.

You know, when thinking about this, you have to pay a $500 fee for an outside photographer. Add that with the price of these photographers packages and you might be better off flying in your own photographer.
That's what I'm doing and it's costing me $2500 to fly him in, stay at the resort for four days, and shoot my wedding.
In addition, because he's a guest at the resort, he's also shooting my welcome dinner and my trash the dress session for no additional fee. It's a really great option that you might want to consider.
