I just sent mine to my mom's house, but I agree with everyone else, I wound up with one that was a 14 even though I am a 10, so you might want to get one that is a little bigger, at least for comfort.

i am in need of a size 8 slip....... my dress size is an eight should i be getting my exact size or smaller or larger i didnt think of it.....

The best thing you can do is try it on. I have sizes all over the board! I'm a 10 in street clothes, my rehearsal dress is a BM dress from Davids. The skirt is a 10, the top a 16. My slip was a 14 and my dress is a 14. My TTD is a 16.

I think a lot of it depends on the designer and where it fits on your body.
