Mariachi Band-

How many hours do you think I should have a mariachi band for?
I talked to Mariachi Los Cabos Internacional and they quoted me for
150/hour. I feel this is pretty good.

Also when would be a good time to have them...during cocktail hour? or sometime during the reception?

We had the Mariachi band for 1hour only, and used them for the ceremony and cocktail (while we took pics)....

Wow. That is a great deal. We are paying $500 for 45 minutes!

And just fyi, the search function hasn't been working for me either.

yes, the regular search isn't working, but the advanced search is.

but sometimes its just easier to go to the appropriate section.

KarlaV who got married at the Westin used them and this is what she wrote:

The Westin was going to charge us $1,200 an hour for mariachi! For the price and professionalism, Mariachi Internacional was by far the best. They came and played at the rehearsal at the last minute. They were at the church ceremony and the reception. They really set the tone for all of the events.

I just didn't think they played all that well. I've heard better. But to be honest, no one really cared. Everyone had a blast and danced the whole time. They were a little difficult to get ahold of during the plannig process. But, my father organized everything with them. Which took the pressure off of me! For the rehearsal, ceremony and reception cost $2000 (my dad payed so I'm estimating based on what they charge per hour)

We had mariachis for 1 hour during the cocktail hour. They were a great hit and everyone loved them. I wouldn't have them for longer than that because the music does get monotonous. I do think that having them for the cocktail hour set a great mood for the reception! My hotel charged $350/hour. Well worth it!
