 | OBX Advice? Hey guys,
I'm shooting most of my weddings this year in Charleston, SC--a big destination spot. But I'm also planning to shoot in NC, particularly the Outer Banks.
Is anyone familiar with the Outer Banks? Can you advise me on areas along the coast for engagement shoots and weddings?
Of course I'll be doing some research online but it would be nice to here from someone who is from there or getting married there...

 | Re: OBX Advice? I've been there a few times on vacation. I think pictures in front of the lighthouses would be cool, but most of them are not on the water. |

~A | Thanks. It's a picture I photoshopped when I was learning how to do the B&W trick.
Oh I just thought of this. There are places where you can be on the beach & have the cape hatteras lighthouse in the background. It does make for great pictures. The Cape Hatteras lighthouse was moved so you may see lots of pictures of it on the water, but it's not there anymore. This is how far it is now |

 | Re: OBX Advice? I love OBX, we started an annual trip with our friends every year, in fact our deposit is due next week!
I really don't have good advice though for pictures, depending on what time of year you're going, maybe in one of the quieter areas of OBX, maybe up where the wild horses are, that could be cool to get some horses in the background!

 | Re: OBX Advice? we went to Roanoke last year and the place the Wright Brothers memorial is at. You know what might be really cool for photos would be all the painted horses in the front of stores on the main drag there. A lot of the beach areas are private around Roanoke but I am sure you will find somewhere beautiful.

 | Re: OBX Advice? We used to always stay in either Duck or Corolla. Both had some beautiful scenery but I really don't think you will have a hard time finding many, many perfect spots.

You're in Greenville...aka G Vegas ? :)
It's a small world...I'm in Anderson now and go to G-ville all the time.
Good luck w/ your wedding in DR. Been to DR once years ago and remember it was beautiful there along the coast. |

Good Luck to you and let me know when you are in G-Vegas next. FH owns a bar/restaurant downtown (Oysters on the West End) so we are there (or elsewhere) often!
