I am so excited that I have found this thread. I am also planning a wedding at Dreams Tulum.
I have a good friend who has been to Dreams Tulum and raves about it. I have asked her about the negative reviews and she immediately has stated the point that "sometimes people are not happy unless they are complaining about things"

I have been trying to find pictures of actual wedding setups on the beach. I did find a few, but not much. Does anyone know where to find such pictures. I am in the process of contacting and working with the wedding consultant and was hoping they could send me pics of acctual weddings they have hosted.

I dont have any pics for you. But Dreams resorts are known for good wedding service in regards to their cordinators so I'm sure you will get what your looking for soon :). So glad to hear that your friend loved Dreams. Its always nice to hear.
There are a couple Dreams Tulum brides and groom around here so maybe they will be of more help.

Just had to chime in on this one.
I've been to several resorts up and down the RM, and my favorite by far is Dreams Tulum. It's a small, upscale-ish resort. I've been a few times and knew when I saw the chapel on the grounds that that's where I wanted to get married.
I pay no attention to TripAdvisor. The people on there are just nuts, in my opinion. ("The ice in my drink melted once! One star!") If you want more accurate reviews, you should go to Locogringo. Those people seem to have their head screwed on a little straighter.
Anyway, every resort I've been to has had a slight sewer smell in places (worse at night for some reason), and I have noticed a smell coming off the cenote at Dreams, but nothing that I would give pause over.
Of course, I'm totally predjudiced because I'm having my wedding there in July, but that's my two cents.

I'm going to call her today. I emailed a few weeks ago and didn't get a reply. I know she's very busy, but I'm starting to stress because we haven't discussed details at all!
I'll let you know what I find out.

I have digital phone, so it's only 10 cents a minute. But I've called twice and gotten her voicemail twice.
I just emailed the manager telling him how I'm trying to get ahold of her, and I think he'll get her on it.
By the way, not to send you to another forum or anything, but locogringo.com has a bunch of different trip reports and good things to say about Dreams Tulum.

I don't know if anyone is still having troubles reaching the wedding co-ordinator at the resort but just in case.........
My TA stepped in & was finally able to reach someone named Landy who I'm told is Sandra's assistant. I still don't know what happened to Sandra but I've been able to converse with Landy through this email address:

I've been getting responses usually within 1 week's time.

Oh & BTW - New to this board & getting married at Dreams Tulum November 23, 2007!!
