I got a sample of my invitations today, which she called "Tiffany Blue", but in the envelopments line, I believe it is actually "Caspian Blue". Online, on my invitation designer's site, on the Envelopements site, and even when I take a photo, the invitation looks blue. In real life, it looks blueish green (or maybe greenish blue, but my FI thought they were green).
My "colors" are supposed to be red and aqua/turquoise(both?) and dark brown. The blue can maybe pass as aqua, but it isn't the blue I want to have in the rest of my wedding I don't think. The invites look pretty though and I'm in a rush. Should I just say whatever and go for it - invites don't have to match exactly with everything else - you can have different shades of blue throughout the process (especially when my main color was SUPPOSED to be red ha), and nobody will care and I'm just becoming bridezillaish, right?

lol Your not brizella. You just had a certain color blue in mind and it doesn't meet your expectation. Totally normal but I would keep the invites. They don't have to match everything else and no one will notice besides you.

i say if youre in a rush, roll with it. i bet you no one will notice or remember the color difference except for you and your FI.
youre not being bridezillaish, you had an idea of what you wanted. but it may cause you further stress to have them redone because of time constraints, so if you like how they look, just send em and forget about it! :)

I agree with Danielle. The invites don't have to match exactly, they are to introduce your guests to your theme. No one else will remember the color difference but you. If someone does show up with invitation in hand and holds it up to BM dresses or something, then they have other issues! LOL
Don't waste anymore time/effort/money on such a small detail if the color will suffice.
PS - I was going to order Caspian Envelopments because I thought they were turquoise. Is that not the case? I already have my insert cards and they are "Aqua Lagoon" so I don't want to end up with two of the same color.

Nobody will remember if your invites matched.. but why don't you just have your invitation person send you paper samples.. explain your color to him/her and they should be able to send you a few swatches.

My invites turned out more green than turquoise as well, but if anyone noticed no one said anything, so I say just stick with them :)

I were in your shoes, it would bother me too...but in the end, no one will remember but you. I say stick with it, I'm sure they look good.

Ditto. I'm sure no one will even remember your invites come wedding day when "your colors" are in full glory. They will be too excited about the actual wedding than to analyze the small details.

JamaicaBride062108 - I'm very confused. I went into a store that carries Envelopments and looked at their samples, and the one that was labeled Caspian looked like my invitation, and Caspian(metallic) was = to Belize, but when I just went on the Envelopments website, the Chrysophase looks closer to my color, and I don't remember even seeing that in the store's literature.
The Aruba (matte) is a bit more blue and maybe more what I was expecting, but now that I've seen the metallic with my invite, I think metallic might give it some zest, and Aruba might be not so exciting. Aruba is aqua I think? As for Turquoise, personally, I think of the Tartan (matte) as turquoise, and of all the blues, that is really my personal favorite, but I fear it might overwhelm the rest of the invitation...

MelissaH - yeah I'm assuming noone but me really cares - except for my designy friends who might wonder why I picked that color. I just think having the invitation in a box will be fun b/c when I look back, the invitations I remember most are those that were different - a scroll invite for an Indian wedding, an elaborate accordion style invitation that my designer friend made for his own wedding, etc.
