I did bar on consumption because I thought it would be cheaper too. Only half my guests were really drinkers but it wound up costing more than we thought. First off, there is no way for you to keep track of how many drinks go out so you are stuck with what they tell you. Second, the service was so good that if a waiter saw your drink empty or almost empty, he brought you another without even asking if you want it. This tends to make people drink more as well.

Barrie, congratulations to you! You looked absolutely beautiful and I love, love the decor!

AS for bar, we did not do consumption due to the reasons Barrie stated. My mom tried to talk me into it, but there was just no way, and Barrie is right, they were always right there with another drink. It was nice to not have to worry about it. As we were having dinner, they would come to our tables and refill our wine glasses or our water constantly. Also, people my mom said would not really drink were definitely enjoying the margaritas.

We had a basic bar - wine, beer, daquiris, margaritas, pina colada, water and soft drinks. It worked out perfectly, and I knew exactly how much it was costing us.

ok i finished one page of my welcome booklet and thought i would share!

i am doing a section on dining and drinking at the westin so everybody knows what is what and how much it costs. so this is the page for that.

i am using a mac program called pages to make my booklet.

i am also adding a section about venturing into downtown san jose del cabo and day trips to to cabo san lucas, todos santos and la paz. and of course a page or two on activities like kayaking, fishing, ATVs, snorkeling etc etc but i am getting ahead of myself here haha...ive only finished these two pages so far. i am working on the daytrips pages next! hope to finish those tomorrow night and i will post when i'm done so you can see

oh sorry I got confused - this is the westin ceremony and not the church ceremony. Are you having music at the church?

no we are not having any music at the church, we are only doing the sacrament of marriage at the church.

for the westin ceremony, all the music is pre-recorded on a cd for the DJ to play.
