We really don't spend much time in hotel rooms when we're on vacation anyway so I guess the room isn't a huge deal, just want something clean.

check out tripadvisor.com forum.. usually some really great local people chime in about where to stay. FYI We stayed at Imperial Palace, location can't be beat, right in the middle of everywhere but the room was horrible.. I'm talking pubic hair on a bar of soap left in the shower!! gross.. My girlfriend stays there all the time for a cheap room.. the casino tables are reasonable too.. O'Sheas has really cheap tables too. (no hotel, just casino)

Harrah's isn't bad...but the rooms are not the greatest. Same with the IP, I never experienced pubic hair in the shower (that is just nasty). BUT we never spend that much time in the room when we hit Vegas.

Harrah's location is great too...right in the middle of the strip.

I love O'Sheas! Cheap great tables. My favorite casino was Barbary Coast, but they changed owners. Great cheap tables too!

I'm a slots girl..the tables intimidate me (although I just learned how to play craps so I might give that shot!) I'll definately check out O'Sheas :)

Thanks for all your input ladies!!

I just went to LV for NY's and stayed at the Las Vegas Hilton. Its off the strip however, the monorail (?) stops at the Hilton and takes you straight to the strip so you really don't need to walk it. (I will also be there in February). I don't know about prices since my mother invited us and she gets great deals (pretty much free) from all her years of gambling there, hehe.

Its a nice hotel, great casino and great pool.

We've also stayed at Bally's and Paris (both for coed Bachelor/ette parties) and I preferred Paris. Both are pretty affordable.

My parents liked the Golden Nugget so I have no problem staying there, and the hotel in the canyon is one they stayed at as well, it's just Harrah's I'm not sure about :)
I think that is a great deal, considering it includes air from Canada and you get to see the Grand Canyon too (which is nice because there really isn't much scenery in Vegas other than the buildings).

IMO unless you are staying at one of the big, flashy places in Vegas all the rooms are pretty much the same. The times I've gone I stumble back to the room in the middle of the night, sleep, shower, and do it again the next day. I guess it just depends how fancy of a place you want to stumble home to :p

So I just looked around...we can stay at Ceasar's for like $80 more (not per night...total!) so I think we might bite the bullet...but we'll see :)

I'm not ready to book just yet so prices might change between now and then.

not bad! Hans and I stayed at Ceasers (for one night). I believe all the rooms have jaccuzis. An extra perk!

I really like Harrahs. It still is in the middle of the strip and easy to get to anything on the strip. I have also stayed at the Stratosphere and I think that it is such a long walk or a $10 dollar taxi cab ride. I have also stayed at the Imperial Palace, which is very inexpensive and still nice. My thought to Vegas get a decent location to stay at so you dont have to walk a long way in heels. Both the Harrah's and Imperial are okay, you dont need to have a plush place because you will probably not be in there the whole weekend all the time. Also I have heard the drive-thru Elvis is really fun....Have Fun. I love Vegas, we just got back.
