We are getting married while on a cruise - so we're only in St. Thomas for the 1 day.
WC is picking us up at the ship around 10h30, going to the court house to get our papers then our ceremony is scheduled for 11h30.

Quote from Petunia: And, guess what! I actually got to meet Sherri! What a wonderful woman. I was on Magen's Bay and saw someone setting up for a wedding there. I went over and asked if it would be a problem if I stood on the side and watched the ceremony. I was graciously told "no problem." I then asked her name, being familiar with some WCs from this site, and she told me she was Sherri! She was very busy, being very thorough and so attentive to every detail. I was amazed at the amount of work she was putting into the bride's special day. It was as if it were her own wedding. I did stand to the side, not to be intrusive, and watched the most beautiful wedding I'd ever seen. It was both beachy and elegant at the same time. After the ceremony as they were milling around, I overheard many guests comment about how impressed they were with the wedding, feeling exactly as I did.
Petunia,
What a surprise to see your write up! It was a real plessure getting to meet you and I am so sorry I was too busy to sit and chat! It truly is a beautiful way to get married and I know your wedding is going to be just as lovely at Lime Tree! I love the further end of that beach down by the rocks, tho I haven't been there in years!
Since you seem to make it down often, I hope we get to meet again and have a cocktail and if there is any way I can offer some help on your wedding you are planning yourself!
Thanks for your wonderful words, I love what I do so much that it doesn't seem like work!
All My Best,
Sherri

So I know this is an older thread but I wanted to add my name to the St. Thomas Roster.
Kelsey (future Mrs. Baker), from Dayton Ohio. I am still figuring out where I am getting married on the Island. I actually thought I had in narrowed down until I went through all the St. Thomas posts! But seriously, thanks to everyone for putting so much information up here! I found a lot of things I hadn't looked at yet.
We plan to get married in early September 2010, though after some research that is the highest storm month so that may change, we'll see.
I am still in the early planning stages no to WC yet, but thanks to all the posts on here I have a lot of great WC to choose from.

Congratulations Kelsey! This thread just keeps going and I think that is kinda cool! Yes, you are right, the month of Sept. is the peak of our Hurricane season and there is no way of telling if we would get hit or not. It is the slowest month for visitors for sure! But, we do have people come down! I remember seeing a wedding on TV where the couple went thru Hurricane Marilyn and they still got married (no showers, etc) on the roof top of one of the hotels. They sure had a story to tell! I'd dare say tho, that if something like that happened, your wedding would still go on!
Do you have plans as to where you want to stay? Plenty of options there as well! Hotels of course, but villas are pretty nice as well.
Have fun planning that wedding!
