karma: 2 | In or On (the) Riviera Maya?
How would one say this?
Please join us at XX Resort in Riviera Maya
Please join us at XX Resort on Riviera Maya
Please join us at XX Resort in the Riviera Maya
Please join us at XX Resort on the Riviera Maya
Our wedding in...same deal, see why I need the correct article?
You say in California, on the West Coast, etc., so I'm kinda confused, as in sounds better but on might be correct?
Sorry if this is a stupid question, just want to be correct before I send out STD/Website.

Here is my logic (logic not grammar)
you would say "on the french riviera."
And Riviera Maya means Mayan Riviera. So then you'd say "on the Mayan Riviera."
But, since it's spanish and "Riviera Maya" not "Mayan Riviera" I think it sounds more like a town name than a region. So I say "in riviera maya."

That was my first instinct but my mom questioned it due to logic related to other areas. Tricky!

Google results (with everything in quotes):
on the Riviera Maya 44,400 sites
in Riviera Maya 79,600
on the Mayan Riviera 75,700
in Mayan Riviera 10,700
All top websites were legit sites, not just someone's blog who could be saying it wrong.
I think they are all correct but I like "in Riviera Maya" the best.
