Does anyone have any thoughts on this type of veil??
Here's my issue. I really want a long, long (I mean regal length, maybe chapel) veil and thought I would get a Mantilla style. However, I also really want a blusher but can't seem to picture a Mantillas stype veil with a blusher, especially since I want to wear the veil low (tucked into a low messy do).
So I came across a drop veil and thought it looked beautiful although I don't think I could do lace with it since it would be to busy.
what do you all think? Weddingbee Blog Archive At The Drop Of A…Veil? |

I don't think I have ever seen a veil like that before. The pictures look great. But what happens as they lift it? Is it attached to your head somewhere, or will it be completely removed?

I LOVE that style veil! I do always wonder how it stays on, but I think it's a gorgeous style and looks great in pics! :-)

I had a cathederal style veil with a blusher, they where two peices attached on one comb (the blusher) and then the cathederal was attached to the blusher with velcrow on the top. I had it pinned semi high on my head but if you want it lower they can attached it lower with some bobby pins. to make sure I would ask your stylist.

I think it is beautiful! So romantic! I agree, I wouldn't do lace - I also think it might be overpowering ... I like the one in the picture, it is so delicate and sheer ... I did have the same question as Carly, does it come completely off once it's lifted?

Amy I think its beautiful and it will look amazing on you! If you want to get one with lace it will look a little more like a mantilla. Oh I am getting so sad I won't be there :o(

I am a big fan of drop veils. But you can probably find a detachable blusher for your veil as well.

I've read that you are supposed to attach the veil with hat pins however a clear comb can be added for more security.
I don't plan to wear a veil for the reception. Quote:
