Default Leaving for my site visit a week from today!

Time just seems to be whizzing right by ladies! It doesn't even feel like Christmas yet because it's been in the 80's the past few days and the leaves just started changing a couple weeks ago. It has really felt like fall, not Christmas season! I have so much shopping to do. My final critique (and last class) is on Wednesday and then I'm off until mid January - woohoo! Between work, school and everything else I just don't feel prepared for my site visit. I think next time I won't plan a vacation the week before Xmas It will be fun though - looking forward to it!

I'm supposed to be meeting with Prisar on Mon. Dec. 17th @ 10am but haven't received a confirmation from her yet. (If you have her # would you mind PMing it to me??) Tuesday we will be heading out to Las Caletas for the day and to meet with Kelly there (Nicole will just miss us as she is flying back to the states the day we get there). We'll be staying at the Westin but I'm slightly nervous because I heard a bad review of it from someone we met yesterday. *shrug* Guess we'll see... Our TA is supposed to be working on trying to hook us up there but haven't heard back from her yet either. I'm sure everything will be fine though. We'll also of course be checking out the Mayan and any other places Prisar recommends. I keep hearing about Le Kliff restaurant so that's definitely on our list too!

Walmart sells liquor there right? That will probably be one of our first stops for some cheap(er) drinks and snacks.

Ooooh I'm getting excited now :)

Maybe I'll get a chance to do a little Christmas shopping while I'm there too

Darnit, I think I'm getting sick with a sinus infection. Going to the doc today. Hopefully if it is an infection I can go ahead and get on antibiotics and be well by the time we get there! (Last time we were in Mexico I came down with Mono - booo!)

I got sick the day before we left to go to Monica's wedding! I had the worst sinus pressure etc. Landing in Mexico was the worst pain...I felt like my head was going to explode...I already had so much pressue in my head that the altitude change literally brought me to tears. go to the Dr ASAP! Get some good stuff and feel better soon! I didnt' have time to see a dr before we left (I literally got sick the afternoon before we were flying out) but I got some nasal spray (some kind of Afrin, moisturizing, 12-hour sinus somethin'!) and it worked like a charm! Made it possible for me to breathe! Also, the humid weather there acutally helped me out a TON, I felt SO much better after just being there for 24 hours. I'm glad you've got a few days to try and get rid of this though. I hope you feel better really really fast!!!

Also, if you have time there's a restaurant you guys should absolutely check out. I'd try it for a lunch since it's a chill/casual kind of place. It's called Cuale Paradise..I can get the address if you want it. Although I think if you give a cab driver the name, they should be able to get you there. The food is real mexican...the resorts seem to do more tex-mexish IMO. . .and it's SO good! Also, the drinks are great (the ONLY pina colada I've ever actually liked in my life)...and it's right on the river. You can literally stand in the river and drink! Sounds funny but it's honestly so great. Everyone in our group that went still talks about it all the time. let me know if you want the info....I think you guys would like it. :-)

I'm SO excited your trip is coming up so soon!!! You guys are going to love it!

Thanks Rachelle!

I just got back from the doc and she said she thinks it's a virus but gave me some antibiotics just in case. She also gave me some night time cough syrup (basically nyquill) and said to try guifinissin (sp?) and a mild decongestant. She said if it is a virus I should be feeling better in a few days. Keeping my fingers crossed...!!! Last time we flew down Martin had a lot of pressure in his ears. It was so bad that on the descent he was crying because they hurt so bad! So needless to say I'm a little scared of that happening to me this time!

There are so many restaurants to check out - I hope we can remember them all! This one does sound neat. What area is it located in?

I'm glad you got to the Dr! Hopefully you'll feel tons better soon!

I'm not sure what the area where the restaurant is is called, but I'll look on the card I have from there and find out for you. It's not particularly near anything....like it's not in the main part of town, it's off by itself a little bit. I'll post more info from home tonight. :-)

I am so JEALOUS!!! This past week I've had SO many nightmares about the wedding, one included getting to the Mayan and realizing that my reception was going to be held in a tiny hall which oddly resembled our kitchen here at work, lol!

Please come back with lots of pics! I know Edna already did, but I can never get enough!

By the way, I don't have Priscilla's number however, she emailed me a couple of weeks ago and told me she was on vaca, but I'm sure she'll be back in time to meet you.
