I am looking for a place to have a tequila tasting and minchies on the day after my wedding. I was looking at Pancho's, but just found a place called Los Garcias. Does anyone know anything about this place? Does anyone know a better option for tequila tasting for a group. Nothing snobby; just something different and fun.

I don't know about Garcias but I have to admit I remember hearing some negative reviews of Pancho's on the old forum. SOmething about them raising the prices at the last minute... does anyone else remember this?

I think pancho's is owned by WIP.
-----------------------------
some info on WIP..
"Is anyone planning on having their welcome/rehersal dinner at
Pancho's? Just a warning....they jacked their prices up A LOT just a
few weeks ago. Went up 25% on plated dinners and 50% on alcohol per
person per hour and are NOT willing to negotiate. I booked it about 7
months ago and now I'm looking to change or cancel altogether. With 2
1/2 months to go though I'm guessing I'm pretty much out of luck. If
anyone wants pricing, let me know."
"I'm sorry to here that, are you sure WIP is not behind the
increase? They are the owners of Panchos. I hope it works out for you.
We were going to check into Margaritavilla for a rehersal dinner, but
I'm not sure on the pricing. Hope all is going well."

Yup - that was it! It kind of leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth about them. Maybe it's left over from the bad taste WIP left
Jen, I did go to a reeally nice (but fancy) restaurant called Tequila's in San Jose which had a whole tequila dn cigar humidor. The dinner menu was delicious but expensive. However I tequila tasting might be more affordable - especially since late June is off-seasoon a bit. Check it out: http://www.loscabosguide.com/dining/...restaurant.htm
I don't know what your budget is but my guess is this place is pretty expensive.

I will just chime in and say I CAN'T STAND WIP.. Their prices are crazy. They do respond to most of my emails but the ones that require researching those tend to not get answered without several follow up emails. Yes Pancho's & Flower cart are owned my WIP.

I also remembered hearing that which is why I was looking for other options. Most of my guests are staying Cabo San Lucas, so I don't want to ask them to go to San Jose to drink tequila. That would be messy

Good point! What about asking around at some of the beach restaurants like Tabasco's and Baja Cantina? I bet a lot of places offer this - might be fun to couple with a beach bonfire!
