What's your first dance song?

Wanted to see what you girls plan to use as your first dance song. I have been looking and looking but no luck yet. I really like that new Alicia Keys song, "No One" but that's just a thought. I am in love with "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo but I don't know if its appropriate or not. I have to read into the lyrics more. If you haven't heard that song go onto youtube and check it out. Its so beautiful!

We used the song More by Harry Connick Jr. We had been having trouble thinking of a song when we went to his concert a few years ago, and he opened with this song. As soon as we heard the first line, we looked at each other and said, "that's it", we just knew.

We used Love of My Life by Dave Matthews and Santana..

Matt is a huge Dave Matthews fan and we've been to a few concerts together. We liked the hispanic flare that Santana's guitar brought to it.. our DJ shortened it to about 3 mintues and then went straight into Hips Don't Lie by Shakira (inside friend's joke)

I am absolutely in love with Alicia Key's "No One", but Matt refuses. I am working on it. If not that, I will let him pick something. Probably Frank Sinatra or a classic like that. I have a really hard time with this one and AK song is the only one that I think fits...

some really good choices so far! i'm not a huge country person and we don't have any specific songs that are sentimental to us so we can go anywhere with this. i think we might do our slow dance and then choreograph a "fun" surprise dance to a catchy song. this was my fiancé's idea!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
