 | Grand Cayman I just returned home from a wonderful vacation in Grand Cayman. They have really done an amazing job cleaning the island up after Hurrican Ivan. We saw a video of the island during and after the storm, and the damage was really awful. Now you would never really know that the island had been that devastated. They are building more resorts and shops too. We went on a dinner cruise one night, and a couple on the cruise was there for a DW. They said the wedding was beautiful. Their group too out the Jolly Roger, a pirate ship with lots of booze, for the reception. She said it was a blast. We stayed in a private home, so I don't have a review on a hotel. I would recommend staying on the seven mile beach though. We did go into the Westin and the Ritz which were both big and beautiful. I would recommend taking the sting ray city tour, where you get to swim with the stingrays. Rum point is on the other side of the island. They have a great restaurant, a nice beach, and hammocks. We went there twice because we loved it so much. I would also recommend using Red Sail Sports for any water sports. We used them for a dinner cruise, and to rent a hobie cat with lessons. They had the best prices, were well experience, and super nice. We ate at a resturant called Alfresco our last night. It was the best food I have ever had. I have the lobster raviolli. We went to the turtle farm, which I thought was a little depressing. I wouldn't recommend it. If you plan on having your DW here, and have any questions, please let me know. I will be happy to help. Just know that the island is VERY expensive. We were lucky to have a kitchen, so we didn't have to eat out for all our meals.

 | Re: Grand Cayman I want to go to Cayman sooo bad. We wanted to have our DW there, but decided against it because of the cost. Do you have any pictures you can post? |

 | Re: Grand Cayman Hello! I am considering getting married in the Grand Caymans, and I was wondering if there are any other Grand Cayman brides around? I've been in talks with the Grand Old House; it seems like a lovely and affordable venue. Anyways, I would love to chat with other GC brides! Let me know if you are out there!!! |
