I have never been to Riu before but I did go to Ocho Rios last year. I was there on a cruise. We went horse back riding along the beach . It was beautiful. we didn't have enough time to spend on the island. We found out that Ocho Rios has a lot of excursions which is way we chose to go there for our wedding. It will give us lots to do and make the trip more exciting for our guests. I have a list of activities if anyone is interested.........

I've been, I've Seen!!! And we're going back! I love it there! Like any place, if you have high expectations and are hard to please, you will find negatives but FH and I absolutely loved it! We love how big it is also as our friends and family won't be lying on top of each other...if you want alone time, you can make yourself scarce - if you want to party it up with everyone, giddy up! Gorgeous Hotel guys! Great pick rest assured!

I decided against it because although it is A. I. everything shuts down early and there really isn't any partying going on there. It's more for older folks and couples with young children. It is just to low-key for me.

They got over it!!

Anyway.....sight unseen!!!
RIUBRIDE2B!

We're about to decide where to stay for our honeymoon in Negril, I've been there once with work but FH hasn't and it was just a day trip from Montego Bay, gorgeous beach but no idea about Resorts! Our two hotels that we're going to decide between are the RIU Tropical Bay and Sandals Negril...Did you like staying at Sandals? It seems like an older property to me and I question if it's as good as the RIU chain...I'd love to hear about your experience at Sandals!!! Would you go back?
