there are lots of ways to earn points:
reading posts
starting threads
posting
winning the lottery
playing the arcade
posting a signature pic
those are just some of the ways...
ABOUT POINTS!:
You will need to ‘earn points’ to open attachments and download templates. You earn points by reading threads, posting and being an active member of the Forum. Please do not abuse the Point System by replying to every Thread to earn points.
The attachments are for more active members of the forum. if you do not have enough points to open an attachment that means you have not been active enough on the forum so you will need to participate more to attain the points to open them. please DO NOT post or PM any members for points or to send you the attachment. If it is found out that you have done so, you may lose your forum priviledges."

also you can bank points to earn interest
if you find that you need your "banked points" you can withdraw from the bank...just enter the bank from the VB Plaza menu

To add; points can be used to open attachments such as pictures, word documents or PDF files. They can also be used for the daily/weekly lottery, buying gifts and buying ribbons for your fellow BDW friends.

So if it's an attachment you think you'll use frequently, you may want to save it onto your computer to prevent using 50 points every time you want to look at it!

Just a question it says to get points to post a picture in your profile I tried that and can't get it to work. Then I tried to do it again and it said I did not have enought points to do it. I'm a little confused any help would be appreciated. | |

I'm a little confused any help would be appreciated. | You have posted your picture in your profile, and it's very nice!! :) Your profile picture does not show in your posts, only your signature picture and avatar shows in your posts.
If you go to User CP and click "Edit Avatar" on the left hand side toolbar, you can add the picture that appears below your name.
I'll donate some points to you so you can play around with some of the features. As far as I know though, it does not cost points to edit your avatar and signature - I could be wrong though. | |

courtney is right. there are 3 places to put a picture - your signature, avatar, and profile. the profile just shows in your profile, the avatar is on the left of all of your posts, and the siggy pic is at the bottom of all of your posts. hope that helps! | |
