that is pricey...I think you could fly in a great photog with more or the same coverage time for less and probably with the digital images includes, but I guess that depends on who you want to fly in....... Juan's work is beautiful...

juans probably just finding a way to deal with the same issue im having, how to slow down the bookings. i have 27 weddings for next year already. i really only want 30. that means of all the inquiries i get for the upcoming year im only going to take roughly 3.
last year i had 400+ inquiries. i referred out about 1/2 cause i was already booked. this year i will be referring out even more since my year is almost full. this isnt meant to sound like - oh im so wonderful. its just to illustrate once we get busy our only recourse to try and slow things down is to raise our prices. supply and demand i guess youd say.
of course there are always up and coming photographers out there who are where i was a few years ago who do good work (and will be mostly likely raising their prices in a few years). i know it must be frustrating at times when looking for a photographer because you all seem to understand the value of photography. it hasnt been that long since i got married and was going through the same thing!

leigh is absolutely right...it is about supply and demand. i was one of the lucky ones that got juan for a great deal as did ann with Leigh but they do amazing work so yes, they are going to be in high demand. they cannot do all the weddings that come their way so they have to raise their prices to make a living and not keel over from overworking...
But they are still soooo worth it!! |

higher demand, higher prices or else he'll book every day and you wouldn't want that because then he wouldn't take good care of his brides :) I've gone up 2 g's in the past 6 months, it's crazy i know, i'm a bride to be too and i'm dreading it!

Flying in a photog PLUS assistant, room, rental car, etc .... BUT - the one nice thing when you do that is that you get them for pretty much the entire time you're there ....
We're really excited about using Juan! He has been wonderful to work with! Quote: |
jfavi wonder who else past cabo brides have used and been happy with...
| My girlfriend from school used Leigh (Miller) and her pictures were phenomenal!!!! She loved working with her ....
I also know a friend who used Manuel Burgoin (sp?) --- she highly recommends him and my WC says really great things about hiim, too!
And, Mr. Fraser, of course ...
There are a lot of great choices!
Hope that helps!

I love the fact that it seems like in this business you stay friends long after the big day ... My WC has introduced me to so many former brides that she's still friends with! I think that's great!
Elizabeth is so great! I haven't had a chance to meet Ben since she commutes in to school ... but I'm sure he's a sweetie, too! I know that she'll be LOVING being out of school - you guys will have a blast! :)
