Default Reducing Picture Size

I'm sorry. I can't figure out how to reduce the size of a picture. All my picutres come out huge. Can some one explain to me how to shrink them to a normal size. Thank you!!

Thank You!! I use photobucket to upload my pictures. So do I reduce the size of my photo on photobucket before posting here?

you can, unless you want the pictures really big...

Or, if you have any sort of photo editor, you can usually change the image size, which I would change to 72dpi. Your images are probably at least 200-300dpi right now, so reducing it to 72dpi makes the resolution much smaller and thus a smaller file!

Hope this helps :)
