I was wondering if anyone here has had their wedding at Grand Lido Negril, or any other Superclubs resort in Jamaica. Just looking for some experiences and reviews. Thanks!

I havent been to any of the Superclub Resorts. But I am thinking I may look into booking for Grand Lido Braco for the wedding and also booking for my guests at Starfish Trelawny (half the price and close by). I am going to look in to see if there still would be a guest charge to have those at Trelawny come over to GLB. Also may just do the whole wedding at Trelawny then wisk ourselves over to GLB. It all depends on pricing and comparing with my other fave Riu Ocho Rios.

I had nothing but problems with SuperClubs so I took my money (and my guest's money!) to Riu Ocho Rios. SuperClubs was absolutely horrible to deal with, just a head's up.

We were originally going to have our wedding at GLB. Unfortunately we had nothing but problems. Our guests were calling us, concerned about the negative reviews they were reading all over the internet. The bottom line was it is a great place if you can get a super, last-minute deal, but not worth the cost or the hassle to have your big day there. The problems seem to have started when they got a new manager. GLB also seems to cater to the nudist crowd, so unless you have naked guests they most likely won't receive the services promised.
We are now going with Couples and they have been great. I would find a TA that specializes in weddings (several on the forum) and get a professional opinion.

I was thinking about these resorts too, so am glad to hear this feedback. I'm leaning towards the Riu Ocho Rios, but am concerned about the large number of brides already booked up for Jan 2009.

I'm already booked into the Grand Lido Negril and have heard wonderful things about it. Seems every person i've talked to about it have said it's amazing. I'm getting married in Feb 09 so if you're date is after that i'll give you a review...lol
