Hey everyone,

just another reminder that we have some great travel agents on this forum and if you use them you will be supporting this forum.

TA Dina specializes in Hawaii, Caribbean and Cruise Weddings.

TA Jennifer specialize in St. Lucia and Jamaica (esepcially Sandals & Couples Resorts)

TA Jill specializes in Dreams Cancun. She is a former Dreams Cancun bride and very knowledgeable about the resort.

TA Lindsay is our Canadian Travel Agent. She was also a member of the forum and former destination wedding bride.

Please feel free to pick their brain or PM them if you need any help planning the travel portion of your wedding.

Question Re: ***Wright Travel Agency and BDW Travel Agents***

Lindsay (or anyone with some expertise) - I live in the US but many of my guests live in Canada.
I am workign with destinationweddings.com (is there a thread on this - if not, i'll start one, as i'd love to hear other opinions on how this has worked out for them - not working so good for me)...
anyhow, the TA i'm working with tells me she only knows how to book "packages" - and becuase in MX in early December there are no Canada Packages (that use the Iberostar Del Mar), she does not seem able to quote me any airfare.
I notice expedia.com is much less expensive than expedia.ca (taxes I guess). Would you recommend everyone just do the air on there own, and then book the rooms through Apple, or Destinationweddings.com?

Would love to hear how others have handled this, when it's not your typical Saturday - Saturday - during high season.

Thanks

I have that same question.....I'm looking at the Paradisus or Moon Palace right now depending on how many guests we are going to have. My TA sent me quotes and they seem to be so much more expensive than what I'm finding online. I wonder if it would be better for our guests to watch airfare and do that on their own when they can find a good price and then book their room through the TA? I want to save my guests money in anyway possible.....

There's a ferry between Anguilla and St Marten. None to St Thomas that I'm aware of. You'd have to take one of the little flights between. If American is an option for your SEA flights ask them as American Eagle is one of the inter-island flight options.

Bump

i just wanted to remind people that my agency is what is keeping this forum running. it was set up to help my clients and the clients of the other TA's on the forum.

please do not advertise your travel agent on here. it is very disrespectful to do so.

Hi! I'm looking into going to either Moon Palace or Grand Occidental Xcaret (or a different place!) for my wedding next November (thanksgiving weekeend). I've been researching myself and with a TA at home, but she isn't very helpful. I have a small group and would probably not get a group rate at the hotel, but hoping to find some discounts in airfare or somewhere! If there is a specific TA on here I should PM please let me know. I NEED HELP!
