 | Vegas Hotels: the good & BAD! I am interested to know where you have stayed in Vegas and the dirt on your stay.
I have stayed at: Mandalay: fun, the pool is waaayyy too crowded. Bellagio: nice but full of old men with hookers Wynn: nice, the cabanas are great...steve sanders from 90210 hit on me...also, they have the most comfortable beds. Venetian: one of my favorites Paris: i love the casino...great shopping Hardrock: super fun but too real world age people for me and i don't win at the casino Caesars: don't remeber much
there is this one place i stayed for a gf's bachelorette party...it was super stinky and disgusting...and everyone that stayed there looked like they wrestled for WWF (now WWE) wrestling...they all had mullets...men and women. i can't remember the name. i think i blocked it out.

 | Vegas is my favorite city to visit!! These are the places I've stayed: The Palms: A lot of locals. The pool is great now that they have re-done it. A cool place for a bachelorette party. They really cater to those kinds of parties. THE HOTEL (at Madalay Bay): My favorite. It's a boutique hotel. Which means no gambling and a great pool. Hard Rock Hotel and Casino: Where the beautiful people go. Cabanas are cool, if you can get one (they fill up pretty fact). They have the NOBU restaurant, which is awesome. Caesars Palace: Older crowd. But the club PURE is great. Check out the restaurant Bradley Ogdens (I used to work there!)
KarlaV Green Valley Ranch: Way off the stip, but I would go there for the spa and some very cool outdoor concerts by the pool. |

 | Vegas is a great place to visit, but I can only handle a weekend - no more than that. I've stayed at:
-Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - LOVE this place! Each time I've stayed I've been upgraded to a suite. The pool scene is incredible, although it fills up super fast.
-Luxor - stayed there a few times many years ago. At the time I really enjoyed it. The staff was really good. My first time in Vegas I got wasted beyond belief (something about the oxygen infused environment - I didn't realize how drunk I was). Anyway, I got totally lost from my friends & couldn't figure out how to get to our room. A security guard escorted me to my room - at first he tried to kick me out cuz he thought I was a hooker!!! Wow! I woke up face down on the bed w/my card key in my hand. That coulda been a bad situation! Spa here was great too.
-Aladdin- I hate this place. This is where my friends always stay because its super cheap. I just feel like it's dirty and gross.
-The Palms - really love the Palms! It's a great party scene w/good looking people all the time. Only problem is if you don't have an inside hook up, you have to stand in rediculous lines to get into the Ghost Bar or Rain. I saw Britney Spears' surprise performance there a few years ago.
-Ceasars Palace - I've never stayed there, but the shopping situation is to die for. They have cool little restaurants & shows to keep you entertained.
-New York New York - I can't remember how I felt about the rooms there, but the gambling and the entertainment is fun. I love the roller coaster! |

 | I LOVE Vegas! Well... for a couple of days, there's only so long I can party like that! MGM Grand: Stayed there twice and I love it. Their rooms are comfy, the pool had tons of young people, and the bars in the hotel are great. When I was there, Tabu was really popular on Thursday nights, not sure if it is anymore, but that will give you an idea of when I was there. The Flamingo: My FI was staying there for a conference. The rooms looked like Motel 6 and so did the rest of the casino. Luckily I only stayed there one of the nights during our vacation, and then moved to The Bellagio. Day and night difference, that's for sure! Bellagio: The rooms were gorgeous. The most comfortable beds I've ever had in a hotel. The bathrooms were large and luxurious. I went in January so the pools were closed, so I can't comment on those.

 | I've stayed all over. Fi used to get comped all the time. still does sometimes.
-Mandalay Bay: pool is overcrowded during the summertime, rooms are nice
-Luxor: eh... pool sucks
-Excalibur: in my college days; won't be going back
-Tropicana: see above
-Monte Carlo - nice rooms, nothing extrodinary.
-Aladdin: Now Planet Hollywood -okay. Fi was recently in a suite for a Bachelor party and he said it's much nicer
-Paris: where we stayed when we got engaged. We were in a HUGE suite. It was nice, but honestly It seemed a little run-down
-Bally's: I actually like Bally's for one of the older hotels. The rooms are rather large
-Flamingo: I vaguely remember staying here. Must've been a good trip!
-Harrah's: stayed a few times. Nothing outstanding.
-Venetian: I've had good stays and bad stays here. Overall it's nice.
-Wynn: love the Wynn. three of our last four trips to Vegas we've stayed here together. Love the European sunbathing pool, rooms and bathrooms are fabulous
-Hard Rock: Rooms are starting to look a little outdated although the last time we stayed here they had added plasmas. I think the HR needs a major facelift as far as rooms go. But the pool is good times.
-Fairmont Timeshares: This place is actually excellent if you can book it as a hotel stay. For Fi's 30th birthday we rented a 4br penthouse with dual master bedrooms. It was around 4000 sqare feet. Really nice.
-Rio: Their rooms also need updating, but they're nice and big. And thier pool is okay.
-Palms: We stayed here for half of our last trip. We were in a suite in the old tower but I hear that the new tower is amazing. I also like the renovations that they've done to their pool area. HR needs to get a clue from them.
-The Jockey Club: Great location right next to the Bellagio. 1Br condos are great for four people and there is a full kitchen. I've stayed here during the winter when having a pool is not essential.
-Hooters: We actually stayed here in August when my BFF got married at the MGM. We did not want to spend $200 a night for rooms at the MGM and this was right across the street. The rooms were fine, beds were comfy, pool was okay (can we say sausagefest?) and gets no sun in the afternoon. But it was cheap, and close to the MGM.
I am sure that there are more that we've stayed at, but this is all that I could come up with. Back in the day we were going to Vegas twice a month on Fi's comps. Waaay back. Before we had "real jobs" :) |

 | I went to a small wedding at the Venetian once. The ceremony was one of the bridges that cross the canal and it was cute. After they said their "I Do's" they took a gondola ride on the canal and everyone blew bubbles at them when they crossed under the bridge. It was cute. BUT it was super hard to find (those casinos are built so you can never get out..or find the bathroom!). The reception was then upstairs in like a reception room but honestly the room wasn't much to speak of - just one of those double suites with the furniture taken out and the tables put it. |

 | Tropicana - Old School. Small. Nice pool. $5 black jack tables. I got engaged there, so I do have a soft spot for it. Great comedy show every night. Monte Carlo - Is deceivingly small, considering its facade. This is a good thing though. I enjoyed it. Nice pool. Like the brewery inside. Good beer.

 | The Hard Rock is my favorite place to stay - not to mention that I met my future husband in the pool over 4th of July weekend 3 years ago!
One of my good friends is a buyer for the store and the hotel was recently sold to the Kors group and they are giving the rooms a major facelift, so hopefully they will be nice again!
