After talking it through with my fiance we decided to do the more casual look rather than the black suits we had first chosen. So I thought it was going to be hard to find Khaki anything this time of year, but actually most things were on sale. we found our suits at Mexx and they are Khaki with a bit of a pin stripe. we got them really cheap, but we had to drive all over Toronto to find the right sizes. I am really glad we found them and most stores are happy to help if you tell them it's for a wedding.
The groom is wearing khaki suit with white shirt and groomsmen are wearing smae khaki pants as the groom but just the white shirt, no jacket.

I tried to search for this, but couldn't think of the exact term...

Typically, the groom wears something slightly different than the groomsmen (different colored vest, shirt, etc). What if the outfit (ha - FI hates it when I call it that bc men dont wear "outfits") is the same?

My guys (FI, his bro and my bro) are all wearing the same shirt and pants. How do I distinguish the groom? That sounds silly b/c of course I will know which one he is, but in pictures of the guys, I want it to be obvious that he is the groom. Different boutteneires?

Here is the shirt:

I am having this same ... dilema.

I'm just not sure how to distinguish them...and how to coordinate everything. My MOH is wearing chocolate brown, the guys suits are ivory/tan and FI wants white or ivory shirts...

Should my guy wear a different shirt? or...

We're thinking, he'll just wear his jacket in Mexico, and the GM won't...

GAH.

Hi Ladies,

I wanted to get your opinion on what my groomsmen should wear. We're getting married on the beach in Mexico in May 2009. My dress is white and my bridesmaids' dresses are turquoise. Since my fiance has very nice brown skin, I'd like to see him in a white suit. However, I'm not too keen on having the groomsmen wear white too. Do you think it would look nice with my FI wearing white and the groomsmen wearing khaki with a turquoise colored tie?

Any piece of advice would be highly appreciated!

here's a thought. how about if your fi wears a white suit but the gm wear white linen pants and a button up shirt (no tie). the shirt could have turqoise or be turqoise

These are all from Island Importer. It think the total for all 4 pieces with shipping was under $250!

Hi ladies,

My FI and I are having trouble figuring out attire for him and the GM. Although cream colored seems to be the way to go for the beach, that is just not his color. His best colors are either black or white. I would say white would be better because it's more beachy but Im nervous that the pics would look weird if we were both in white. Does anyone have pics with Bride and Groom both in white?

Do you guys think black is too dark for the beach?

black might be HOT on the beach ... but some people go for it anyway. just IMO, black pants with a white shirt or jacket might look a little waiter-ish ... maybe all white would be the way to go (your flowers will really POP!), or why not let him wear white pants with a shirt in whatever COLOR you're using, and let the rest of the guys wear white shirts? or if that cream/tan/khaki thing just isn't him maybe a silvery gray might suit him? there are many options ... the most important thing is to feel as tho you both look great and look like YOURSELVES. don't worry over what's the norm or what's expected!
