 | Re: Post Groom and GM attire I went shopping today for my FI's suit. We found one that we liked but they don't currently have his size...which is too bad because its only $99. I think the sale ends today but the salesman said they have great sales all of the time. Here is the link to the store if you are interested... Welcome to Jos. A. Bank Clothiers
The suit that he tried on is the Poplin Suit that is on Clearance.
Happy Shopping!!

 | Re: Post Groom and GM attire Thanks for the suggestions! I just sent a note to my FI about the stores- he also needs a little "reminder" to start this process of looking for something. Surprisingly, he really wants to wear a tux (despite being on the beach in Cancun).... I know he'll be insanely hot but I can't wait to see him in one!!! |

 | Re: Post Groom and GM attire We finally found a pink tie we agreed on... so I think Sean's outfit is set!
His suit for the ceremony and a cooler option possibly for the reception:
Groomsman will be in matching khakis and a white button up (sorry not the greatest pic... but it has a faint tropical background) and all the guys will be in leather sandals:

 | Re: Post Groom and GM attire Here are the shirts our groomsmen are wearing with ivory pants. I love them! The bridesmaids are wearing mocha brown dresses - so our colors are mocha and teal. The shrits have palm trees in shades of brown - so i hope it is a good compliment to the dresses. We got these for about $70.00 each. We paid for the GM and BM attire for the day out of guilt.

 | Re: Post Groom and GM attire We finally found FI's suit, yesterday. Let me tell you, in Ottawa there were next to NO stores that had light coloured suits. I think this time of year was too late to go looking.
We were hoping to hit sales, but instead it was us running around to about 30 different stores downtown until we finally found a large Mexx (in Rideau Centre) that had the right kind of colour.
FI wanted bone (very light - off-white), but we ended up with something a bit more oatmeal coloured.
The pieces were on sale (about $120 each).
Next stop: shirt and tie!
I'll post pics when FI gets home tomorrow and I make him put it on again! |

 | Are suits for GM ok if BM in sundresses? Prior to picking a destination wedding, I had planned on my bridesmaids just wearing black dresses (because everyone has one, and there aren’t many shades of black).
But after picking a wedding in Jamaica, I thought black might be hot on the beach and a bit morbid. So I picked some J Crew sundresses in cotton - BM could chose from halter or strapless.. in a bright berry color with gold flip-flops from target...
Then my fiancé got suits from Jos. A. Banks on sale for his GM.
Do you think that Suits w/jackets will be too formal compared to the bridesmaids in cotton sundresses? Or will it look more equal to have the GM not wear the jackets? Or it doesn't matter?
Thanks,
Kelly |
