Don't get Married At Dreams Cancun Resort & Spa Cancun

Recommended Posts

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a resort. First of all they tore the Gazebo down and did not inform the Bride until she arrived.

When guests arrived they did not have rooms available for several people. They wanted us to pay to upgrade to a honeymoon suite, but there was nothing else available. I insisted that if there was a room available, they were going to put me in it no matter what!

They actually sent people in the wedding party to other hotels surrounding Dreams. Then had them move the next day back to the resort. This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

If you want to know more, feel free to ask.smile27.gif

WOW! so sorry that you had to go through that! You were scheduled to be married at the gazebo and it was gone ?!? Were you in contact with your wedding coordinator on a regular basis? was the WC onsite? I know this post is going to send some brides planning to be married there off in a frenzy!!!

Hopefully your travel agent was able to work out the situations with the rooms. That is one of the best reasons for having a travel agent.

But I hadn't heard anything about the gazebo? Odd.

I'm definitely interested in hearing more. I have a friend who is getting married there & don't want her to have to deal with any issues like this. It would be very helpful if you posted more information about your experience, especially any employee's that you dealt with.

Was the main issue with the rooms or were there also other issues in the customer service area, besides the issue with the gazebo?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
