Shortnsweet’s OOT & Favor Bags (Pic Heavy)

Recommended Posts

What a relief! I finally finished my Wedding Favor Bags and OOT Bags. smile159.gif We are having a cruise wedding on 4/25/10. We will be getting married on the ship on the day of departure, before it sails out of the port of Miami. We chose this option because we can invite guests that will not be able to cruise with us. We have 13 people cruising with us and 40 people that will be attending the wedding ceremony/reception only. So, all of our wedding guests will be getting the Wedding Favor Bags (1 bag for single and 1 bag per couple). Only the cruising (sailing) guests will be getting the OOT Bags (1 bag for single and 1 bag per couple). We are driving to Miami, so we donâ€t have to worry about transporting all of this stuff on an airplane. We are having a Welcome Dinner in Miami the evening before the wedding, so we will hand out all of the bags then.

I bought the silver bags before I bought the white favor boxes, so the fit was a little tight, but I decided to use the bags anyway. The sand and shell bottle is inside the white favor box. Everything I bought for the bags: silver mini organza tote bags (beau-coup.com), personalized deck of cards (wrapwithus.com), sand and shell bottles (Americanbridal.com), sand dollars on sand/shell bottles (qualityshells.com), favor box (papermart.com), bag tag (invitations by dawn), thank you note card (vistaprint)

Note: I had to break this up into two posts since I have so many pictures... See my next post for OOT bag pics.

Pics of OOT Bag that I purchased from VistaPrint and its contents. I wish I had made the font on the bags a little larger, but it will work.

Survival kit Contains: Shout wipes, tide packet, bath and body works room spray, disinfectant spray, Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer wipes, antibacterial wipes, hydrocortisone cream, earplugs, Dramamine, band-aids, Kleenex, pepto bismol tabs, Advil. The couples get a few more items than the singles do in their bags. I had extra card stock left over from my pocketfold invitations. So, I used this to design the label for the survival kits. I used double-side tape to seal the cellophane clear favor bags from Party City. I actually used two cellophane bags for each kit (one with all the meds inside and one with the tide and sprays inside). I just folded over the labels, trimmed off the extra card stock, and stapled to the top of the bags. I purchased items for the survival kit from minimus.biz, drugstore.com, bath and body works, and Target.

Pics of the mugs in the OOT bags. Blank mugs from discountmugs.com and stickers from vistaprint (outdoor window decals).

Other stuff in the OOT Bags: Welcome Card (vistaprint), Lanyards with retractable cord (from another BDW bride), resealable keycard/tip holders (from another BDW bride), retractable badge clip from Wal-Mart (for those that donâ€t want to use the lanyards), highlighters, pens, post-it notes, waterproof wallet (amazon.com), sewing kit (Wal-Mart), and Ziploc bags.

I got the plastic holders from another BDW bride. I used some business card paper that I had at home to print the inserts. I designed the inserts myself. The picture is actually one I took on a cruise a few years ago.

OOT Bag Tag Pics.

I used extra card stock from my pocket fold invites to print the tags at home. I designed the tags myself. I just used clear address labels to print the names of the sailing guests on and stuck them on the back of the tags. I trimmed the tags down to size and inserted them into the ID holders that came with the lanyards (I used resealable id holders on the lanyards instead of the holders that came with the lanyards). The ID holders that came with the lanyards were pretty flimsy, but I didnâ€t want to just throw them away, so I used them as bag tags. I tied the tags to the OOT bags with raffia ribbon. I wish I had used a different color ribbon and a different color combo on the tags cause they donâ€t really look that good with the canvas bags, but I didnâ€t feel like re-doing them.

Thatâ€s it! Let me know if you have any questions.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
