Anyone use freeze dried petals for the aisle

Recommended Posts

Hey Brides!

I was thinking about using freeze dried petals to line the aisle and was wondering if anyone had actual pictures from their wedding. But, more importantly, I need to know if it was a problem getting them thru customs. I tried to search online for an answer on if this was a restricted item for travel but couldn't find any clear answers. Any help/input would be appreciated as I have to order these soon.

Thanks for coming to my rescue yet again ladies!

Hi I used freeze dried petals for my aisle and it looked good! Only thing I would suggest is make sure the colors are right! Ordered fuchsia and it looked really dark... it wasn't a vibrant fuchsia. I know at my wedding location ( Moon Palace, Cancun) they would only let us use bio degradable petals, No fake ones!! And I had absolutely no problem going through customs with them! I hope that helps

Thats who I used!!! it was great... try to get them when they have specials. I got some of my petals for half off. She said those went on sale but something must have been wrong with their website because when you went to check out every color was half off!! I guess I lucked out. hopefully the same happens to you

I haven't seen freeze dried orchids on that website. Did you mean the preserved ones? They are gorgeous.

I love your siggy pic by the way. Very cool affect.

Opinion: Would it look dumb if I had orchid head down along the aisle as opposed to actual petals?

I think those are actually preserved (real) flowers. And no, I don't think it would look dumb at all if used orchids instead of just petals. Orchids are really pretty.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
