John Fagan was great! Here's part of my review.. one thing.. make sure someone tells him in person how to pronounce your names (including last name)..

Minister - John Fagan (A)

John@BajaWedding.com

John was hired by Mariana at Dreams and came with our package. He was so great. Matt and I are non-practicing and he never tried to force anything on us that we werenâ€t comfortable saying. He emailed me several vow samples and was willing to let me cut and paste and add to create our own document. He was extremely professional and kind. He double checked at the very end to make sure the ceremony was exactly as we wanted it to be. We chose very traditional vows and had a reading of “The Union†by Robert Fulghum and Mattâ€s sister also read the Sand Ceremony. At the end he gave us a symbolic certificate and our vows typed on beautiful paper for us to keep. He emailed me when we got back to make sure everything went well.

Matt said later he was starting to get a little nervous. The guys were all lining up and no minister.. all of a sudden he sees this man in a billowing white robe stroll towards the ceremony site. He felt such a sigh of relief at that moment.

I was a little nervous about having a minister with a strong accent or worse yet, we had a friend get married and I donâ€t know if she noticed or not but her officiant had a whistle when he talked.. I laughed every time he talked.. John was absolutely great and I would recommend him to anyone looking to get married in Cabo.

I also STRONGLY recommend Marco Arechiga! He was the minister for our wedding at the Hilton Los Cabos on 3/29/08. He was so friendly, warm and really down to earth. Both my fiancee and I felt like we had known him forever upon first meeting him and he made our ceremony so special - it was absolutely perfect. All my wedding guests commented after the ceremony that it was the best wedding they have ever been to and that Marco was the best minister they had ever seen!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
