Just getting back from your wedding or vacation? 10,000 Posts?? ... READ THIS...

Girls,

We are in full wedding and vacation season - I wanted to give everyone a couple of tips for narrowing down the "unread posts" when you get back.

** these tips only apply to PC Users, maybe Maura can help me with some tips for Mac users **

Tip 1:

Open the Index or 'Forum front page'

I then like to right click on the forums that I would like to skip reading to narrow down posts, for instance, if you are a Jamaica bride but not too interested in Hawaii / Cabo / Riveria Maya, then right click on the Cabo forum and click "open in a new tab or window"

you can select as many forums as want to 'exclude' from the unread posts count. once you do this, go to one of those new windows or tabs and view that forum.

let's use the Riveria Maya as our example. you will see 2 options on the right side of the screen under the toolbar, one option is "forum tools" and the other is "search forum" - these options are specific ONLY to the section you are viewing. if you click on "forum tools" another menu opens, select "mark this forum read". you should see all the posts on that page become un-bolded, this means they are read "FOR NOW" - this only works in real time, so if someone is posting a 'new thread' or 'a post' to a Riveria Maya post, it will come up in your next 'unread posts' list but you will have eliminated the majority of unread posts for now.

you can use this function on as many 'sections' or 'forums' as you want to, just remember it is NOT PERMANENT.

Tip 2:

I know this probably sounds obvious but there are so many new members I figured I would post it. You can read 'un-read posts' by individual forums instead of clicking the 'new posts' or 'unread posts' links. just click on "Cabo Forum" and you will see all the latest activity that you have missed.

you can catch up forum by forum this way and not have to mark any as 'read'.

let me know if you have any questions!smile78.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
