Ok, so I am scared half out of my mind for this boudoir shoot! I'm not exactly skinny - I'm not exactly big either (not that big isn't beautiful) but for me....I'm still not where I want to be. I had my gallbladder out a few months ago, and while most people lose tons of weight after that happens, I've gained - with that being said - how am I supposed to look sexy for these pics if I don't "feel" sexy smile27.gif HELP!

From what I have read on here from other girls, the shoot is very empowering and makes you feel sexy if you didn't before!! I am right there with ya though...I will be nervous as anything...I'll be taking a bottle of wine with me!! :-) Good luck, relax, and your pics will be beautiful!! Can't wait to hear how it goes!

I had my shoot on Saturday and let me tell you, it made me feel like a million bucks! I've lost alot of weight in the past year (66 lbs) and as a result have a fair bit of extra hanging skin and stretch marks. The photographer made me feel like I was the most gorgeous woman ever. I'm currently waiting (IMPATIENTLY!) for my teaser pic which she said I'd have today. A glass of wine, some positive self talk and a sass in your step and you'll be amazed!

I fully understand... Bring Wine LOL that always helps to relax.. I have my cousin who takes amazing pictures do my BD shoot. YOu can tell from the pictures that the beginning was awkward and by the end I got comfortable and the pics became alot better. (Thank God I did it with my cousin cuz it took me a long time to get comfy LOL) Then you tend to forget and start having fun and letting go and well everything then goes great.. Good Luck

If wine doesn't do the trick you could always try something a little stronger! I did a shot of Tequilla while I was having my hair and makeup done.) Don't worry about your body and just rock it! Fake the confidence if you're not feeling it...and soon you will be comfortable and chaneling your inner top model. For me the nerves went away during the hair and makeup...by the time I was in my first outfit I was ready to go! Just remember...but out, stomach in, boobs out, shoulders back! HAVE FUN!

bahiabride - you kill me!!! That is hysterical! Thank you guys all so much for the vote of confidence....my best friend is coming with me and she is insanely funny, so I'm hoping she will definitely be a blast helping me get ready and making me shake off my nerves.

I can hear her already "Be a tiger, be a tiger"....she's too funny, so hopefully it will be fun! Plus I hear my photographer is truly awesome, so I hope she'll help me. I have no clue on how to pose - although bahiabride, I'll take your advice wink.gif

I went into my shoot thinking there is no way I can be sexy, but honestly once I got into my first outfit and starting taking some pics I got really comfortable, and from the one teaser I have I now know I can be sexy even though I didn't believe it. Have a drink before you start to help calm the nerves but you're going to have so much fun, and your photographer will know how to have you pose that shows off the best parts of your body.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
