Hey lady! So, I know David's is out for you. Did you & your mom go anywhere else (other than the first 3 places)?

RK is a popular store (on 39th, right by the A), Macy's, Kleinfelds if you have the $$ (but they have sample sales too), Nicole Miller on Greene St, the Wedding Atelier on 5th: Wedding Atelier: Shop designer wedding gowns, bridal veils, wedding shoes, and bridal accessories in our New York bridal shop.

The Bridal Garden seems cool too, discount dresses & the proceeds go towards educating NYC's kids!

I actually found this article that lists all the stores. Hope it helps!

I've been to David's Bridal, RK, a hole in the wall shop in midtown- don't remember the name, and Gowns by Louise in the Bronx.

Great post- I need to continue my search. I think I found the dress but I want to look around a little more and retry it to make sure it's "the one".

I like the service I got at RK and will definately go back. Just get there early to sign in and don't go on the weekend.

I got my beautiful wedding dress at Kleinfeld and, since it's a sample, I paid $999 for a dress that normally sold for $5,700! It's hand-painted and only Kleinfeld sells this Parisian designer. LOVE IT!

I got my BM dresses from a store in NJ called Nonchalance (in Morristown about 30 minutes outside of the city). They're Jenny Yoo and uber-cute!

I've heard great things about Rk bridal from a few of my friends who had DW and purchased their dresses there and I've visited Pronovias they have beautiful dresses. Went to Davids Bridal and hated the department store feel of it. Thought of going to Kleinfelds but I heard they charge for an apppt and they are pushy I don't get married till next July so I'm waiting till January to officially go dress shopping.I also went to Priscilla of boston for my BM dresses they have a great selection at all prices. I work in fashion and in the "Garment District" there are soooo many bridal salons. There is a bldg- 1385 Broadway in the city, it is considered the Bridal bldg the 12th floor is all bridal shops.

Ok well..today i went to macys and saks..so ive officially been to 4 stores.

Damaris-i would start sooner then that because i thought i had all the time in the world turns out it takes 6 mths to get the dress so get crackin on that, because its a confusing thing..i started this week and u love everything so u need time to make up ur mind

as for me...saks i hated..was a little to conservative for my taste..too simple and conservative for me..i need something a little different, dramatic, blingy and sweet at the same time..surprisingly i fell in love with one at macys, everything was kinda ugly except for the one that they had on display before u walk in and i was like wow thats gonna be $10k, but it was only $2k, so i tried and loved it and now im confused.Way more poofy then what i was going for but its ridiculously nice.. I want a dress where people are like damn! lol

everyone keeps telling me kleinfelds but im scared of stuck up sales people..because if i lucked out at the other place this place i dont stand a chance..and i know im going to end up falling in love with the one dress thats like 25k and then nothing will compare.

how the hell do you decidehuh.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
