Secrets Silversands and/or Maroma Beach

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone!

I am wondering if anyone has any information and/or thoughts about Secrets Silversands or Secrets Maroma Beach? We are looking for an adults-only all-inclusive for our wedding and both of these look beautiful. I think Silversands was supposed to open this week. I would certainly also like to hear from any Secrets Capri brides (your experience, planning, staff, service, etc.)

Thanks a million!

I go to Secrets Maroma Beach in 3 1/2 weeks for vacation! I will definitely post pictures when I get back. :) They were both supposed to open on August 1 only the openings were delayed. Secrets Silversands is now open and Maroma Beach is opening any day. Woo hoo!

My travel agen highly recommended Maroma Beach over Silversands for what that is worth. :)

That's great! Thanks girls. We actually finally dove in last night and scheduled a scouting trip in November. We are staying @ the Silversands for this trip because it was less expensive (at least on orbitz). We are definitely going to check out the Maroma Beach location because I was thinking that one would be my pick for the wedding. We'll see! I'll look forward to hearing both of your thoughts after you get back!

Sure I will ask around where it is when we go....let's just hope it is OPEN by the time we go....I am getting worried because they keep pushing back the opening.

I would love to have our wedding there only we have two kids who have to come so I am forced into the kid zone. We are going there on a kid friendly site visit trip only we are staying in Secrets to avoid the kids on this trip....haha.

From what I hear the beach is incredible. The beach at Maroma Beach looks much nicer than the one at Silversands. Silversands looks hip and cool only the beach is really narrow and doesn't have the pretty white sand....only really I am sure they are both fabulous!

I am booking Maroma for my wedding next year. I have been in touch a super cool girl from tripadvisor and she's going to take pictures and write a review for me when she returns. She's getting married there this weekend actually. There is a great deal for visiting either one from Cool Caribbean i think it's called if you book before August 13th. You can stay for 3 days/nights for $600, based on double occupancy. For us flying from Kansas our total for two people for the whole time would around $1,600. it's not the best deal ever but at least if we get to go then we'll have a few days to check the place out :) You must travel before October 31st, 2008 i believe.

That's awesome! I can't wait to hear about the wedding this weekend! I hope she will let you share the pics! I would LOVE to see them. We are staying at Silversands in November, but I'm thinking we will prob do Maroma Beach for the wedding location. We'll see. I looked all over for deals. I ended up booking through Orbitz. They were having a sale. When are you going to check it out?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
