Some ideas:

X, do you accept Y to be your wife, to love and to cherish, to share your dreams, successes, and challenges; in plenty and in want, in triumph and in failure, in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live? (I Do)

Y, do you accept X to be your wife, to love and to cherish, to share your dreams, successes, and challenges; in plenty and in want, in triumph and in failure, in joy and in sorrow, in sickness and in health, for as long as you both shall live? (I Do)

The vows which you will exchange will serve as a verbal representation of the love you pledge to each other. It is not the words that you will speak today which will bond you together as one, but the inner sense of love and commitment that each of you feel within your heart.

X, please repeat after me:

I, X, take you Y,

To be my wife, best friend, and lover.

Together we will dream, play and experience.

When you stumble, I will restore you.

Throughout my life,

I promise to cherish and respect you,

To comfort and encourage you,

And to stay with you,

As long as we both live.

Y, please repeat after me:

I, Y, take you X,

To be my husband, best friend, and lover.

Together we will dream, play and experience.

When you stumble, I will restore you.

Throughout my life,

I promise to cherish and respect you,

To comfort and encourage you,

And to stay with you,

As long as we both live.

These rings are a symbol of your everlasting love and the vows of commitment you have made today.

X, placing the Ring on Y's finger, repeat after me. With this ring, I pledge to you my unconditional love.

(repeat)

In the company of our family and friends

and with their love and support,

I X, choose you, Y, to be my husband.

With faith in your enduring love,

and in admiration of your boundless heart,

through all that life may bring us,

I pledge my self to you.

I will hold you, laugh with you, and cry with you.

I will be faithful to you in thought, word, and deed.

I will be your loving partner as we build a life together,

And I will be your faithful champion as you pursue your own dearly-held dreams.

From this day forward, until death do us part, we stand together.

This is my promise to you and to God.

I gladly make this promise. I am proud to be your wife.

--------------------

I, X, do take you, Y,

To be the wife of my days / the companion of my house /

The friend of my life / and the mother of our children /

We shall bear together / whatever trouble and sorrow / life may lay upon us /

And we shall share together / whatever good and joyful things / life may bring us /

With these words / and all the words of my heart / I marry you / and bind my life to yours.

I promise to share with you myself

I promise to respect you deeply; your interests, desires and needs.

I promised to delight in the laughter,

take serious the important,

and imagine the profound.

I promise to keep myself open to you,

to live in truth with you,

to communicate fully and fearlessly.

I promise to grow with you,

to face changes with you,

to overcome obstacles with you,

to enjoy contentment with you.

I promise to love and support you in good times and bad,

completely and forever.

Take this ring as a symbol of my commitment to you.

Steve and Tammyâ€s Wedding

May 27th 2006

We have come together today on the southern most tip of Baja California to celebrate the love and marriage of Steve and Tammy. The fact that so many people have traveled such a great distance to be here today is a testament in itself to the greatness of this relationship.

Tammy and Steve would like to sincerely thank you all for being here to celebrate this wonderful occasion with them.

And now let us take a moment of silence to remember our friends and family who are no longer here with us in person, but who we know are here with us in spirit. (we both had important people pass away right before the wedding-my aunt and his friend who was going to be a GM crybaby2.gif )

During one of Steve and Tammyâ€s first conversations, they discovered that they both had parentâ€s who were still together – and for each of them, this was a somewhat rare occurrence to find. The significance may have been small, but looking back, they recognize that it was an early point of unification for them.

Love is a quality of spirit and an attitude of the emotions, but marriage is a life's work, a spiritual art form.

Leo Buscaglia said it like this:

“Perfect love is rare indeed - for to be a lover will require that you continually have the subtlety of the very wise, the flexibility of the child, the sensitivity of the artist, the understanding of the philosopher, the acceptance of the saint, the tolerance of the scholar and the fortitude of the certain.”

Today, Steve and Tammy are making a commitment to continue their life's journey together, and we are here to witness this sacred event. Therefore, this is an occasion of both profound joy and great responsibility, and we who partake in it bind ourselves as witnesses to the uniting of the life and love that Tammy and Steve are undertaking today.

Some say that the perfect relationship is one in which each partner brings strength to the others weaknesses, and where a balance that would be unobtainable alone is found.

Steve and Tammy have found such a balance.

Tammy has inspired Steve to find his true self, the self that is capable of taking emotional risks and reaping joy and true love in return.

She has also disproved Steveâ€s belief that he would never find a beautiful woman who could beat him at table tennis!

Steve has inspired Tammy to overcome her fears with falling in love, and has helped her to find her own boundless self-love that is so vital to true happiness.

He has also disproved Tammyâ€s belief that there was no such a thing as a guy who is in a band AND has a job!

Let us now allow the bride and groom to express their love and the ways in which they have brought harmony to each-others life.

(Steve)

Tammy, you are beautiful, intelligent, creative, and loyal. I didnâ€t know what I was missing until I found you.

I am committed to continuing on this exciting path of spiritual growth and inner discovery with you. I feel so much gratitude for your love in my life and I can't imagine being without you.

I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.

(Tammy)

Steve, you are such an amazing partner and friend. You are handsome, smart, artistic, loyal, compassionate, and good. I feel very blessed to have found you. I respect you and love you more than I ever imagined I could.

You inspire me in so many ways and push me to become a better, more compassionate person.

I can't imagine my life without you. I love you and want to spend the rest of my life with you.

It is obvious that together these two have found a joyous and harmonious co-existence, co-habitation and co-dependency (: in the good way :).

Today they would like to publicly dedicate themselves to a life-time of deepening their love and commitment and to balancing and supporting each-other.

Steve, do you vow to be supportive and loving, and to treat Tammy with patience and care?

Tammy, do you vow to be supportive and loving, and to treat Steve with patience and care?

Steve, do you vow to be forgiving and compassionate, and to be kind and tolerant toward Tammy?

Tammy, do you vow to be forgiving and compassionate, and to be kind and tolerant toward Steve?

The rings that will now be exchanged are a symbol of the unbroken circle of trust that you have chosen to enter.

Tammy, do you now take Steve as your husband, to love and to cherish from this day forward?

(Put ring on Steve)

Steve, do you now take Tammy as your wife, to love and to cherish from this day forward?

(Put ring on Tammy)

Witnessed by this gathering of friends and family I now pronounce you husband and wife.

You may kiss the bride.

Steve and Tammy may you go into the world and fulfill your lives. Hold fast to you ideals and spiritual pursuits, give to each other new experiences of joy and challenge one another that you may continue to grow.

May the love you hold for each other, now sealed in marriage, continue to mature so that your life together is a source of strength and inspiration to those around you.

And finally may your life together be a blessing to you both! Ladies and Gentleman, I now present to you Mr. and Mrs. Wright.

I'm kindof upset I heard that for a legal wedding the judge allows you to write in your own vows, but our WC said no. UGH.. I'm sure she said no because she doesn't want to spend an extra 5 minutes at the ceremony. So I will write can a note for him to read before he heads off to the ceremony.

I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
